  1. Having Ste take all our set pieces is something that always grates with me. Surely he would more effective attacking the ball form 18 yards, or even hanging there for a breaking ball? Beside, for all his world class attributes, corner taking is not one of them IMO.
  2. Moyes would combust.
  3. Surely an own-goal from Neville in the dying minutes of extra time trumps all these outcomes.
  4. Can they also confirm that we have a replacement lined up?
  5. Brighton fathers look up your daughters cos Jimmy McNulty is on his way.
  6. But have we put our head in the bucket to see what we can come out with?
  7. I think he means Scandanavian.
  8. I agree. Its not just on internet forums that the negativity is really starting to show, the atmosphere at games is also being effected. A win on Sunday would be a shot in the arm but I genuinely believe that there a lot of disillusioned Liverpool fans about right now and a win on Sunday will not change that. Perhaps we will click into gear and maintain a challenge but if not then there will be changes during the summer and the turmoil that that brings with it.
  9. I certainly wasnt comfortable before the pen, but the questionable sub came afterwards. We conceeded and needed to score a winner, you dont take off Gerrard.
  10. And replaced attacking players, hence a zero effect on position. Off: Gerrard, Torres & Yossi. On: Riera, Kuyt & Keane. As you say, three attacking players off and three on. But you are either blind to the fact or purposely ignoring it. We needed to take three points tonight and then start thinking about Sunday. When needing to win a game you do not take off Torres and Gerrard. If Rafa comes out and says that both were injured then perhaps, but as it stands now neither should have been taken off.
  11. Im waiting for you to give them too us.
  12. No matter what is said in this thread it will not defend what has happened this evening. Rafa f***ed up. You simply do not take Gerrard off when you are looking for a goal with ten minutes left. Stupid f***ing decision and dont try to absolve Rafa by making claims of kneejerkism. Tonight is a f***ing criminal result.
  13. Me too. Every club needs to keep their top players and Agger is one of our top players. Would be a big mistake to let let him leave.
  14. Poxy b*****d. Is a leg break too much to ask for?
  15. Agree with the Torres Statement. I also think Emile would be ok with sitting on the bench when Keane & Torres start, assuming that will be Rafa's first choice. By having him in reserve he could play alongside either of the two and possibly both if we really have to chase the game. If all esle fails he can play at RB.
  16. Have not really kept an eye on him to see how he was getting on in La Liga, but not great seems to be the answer.
  17. It costs us if there was additional money handed over, the rest is a book transaction. Sure, we would be cancelling the debt owed to us by Pompey, but right now we dont know how long we would be waiting for that cash, in the meantime we need to finance the working capital cycle through additional loans which is costing us every day.
  18. Nice to see that Redknapp is sticking to his guns and not paying 'silly money' for new players.
  19. First of all, suggestions are that we will cancel the cash still owed from the Crouch transfer, secondly, there are very few other RB/RW players we could bring in at that price, particularly England Internationals who are young and could probably improve. He perfectly fits the bill IMO. I also think its worth noting that if Pompey are experiencing cashflow probelms then we could be looking at extending the period of payments on Crouch, surely it makes sense to cancel all or a portion of that in order to fill one of the ongoing holes in our squad.
  20. Was reading the same thing myself mate. I think the bottom line is that there is yet more speculation. Do we have light we can switch on to summon Elisha?
  21. Absolutely. Its hard to know what goes on behind the scenes at Spurs and Ramos had realy difficulties dealing with the language barrier. May prove to be an OK appointment but it all depends on his start this weekend!
  22. Great Post! Should I even mention the possibility of playing 3 cb's?
  23. For now I agree, but I can see him maturing and adapting his game to the PL. He seems like a clever lad from interviews so im sure he will adapt succesfully. Possibly Lucas's biggest problem is that he is not Steven Gerrard.
  24. Lucas Babel Keane
  25. Im really starting to wonder whether Ryan will be the player I expect him to be. He constantly disappoints and is doing nothing to suggest that he is maturing into the player we all want to see.
