True, but it could also be argued that we wouldnt have went on our 10 game run if Owen was around and could well be languishing in mid-table. I think Rafa and Parry have conducted themselves well so far this window. They have several options in each of the positions they want filled, while all the time strengthening the reserves and youth teams with talented players. We definitely got caught in the summer and primarily because we wouldnt chav-up and be raped by Benfica. I wholehartedly supported that in the summer and still do, if we dont spend £10m on Simao, but bring in a.n. other for half that and rafa is happy with the purchase then thats good enough for me.
