    Have a look at the stats below. The stats show how many games we've played with Rafa at the wheel where we've scored more than 3 goals. We actually only scored more than 3 goals in two matches the first season Rafa was here and this number of games have been dramatically improved over the last seasons and this year, we've actually already scored more than 3 goals in 8 matches. Quite impressive Seasons with Rafa: 2004/05 (2 matches) Fulham-LFC 2-4 WBA-LFC 0-5 2005/06 (3 matches) Luton-LFC 3-5 LFC-Fulham 5-1 Birmingham-LFC 0-7 2006/07 (5 matches) LFC-Reading 4-3 Wigan-LFC 0-4 LFC-Fulham 4-0 LFC-Sheff. U 4-0 LFC-Arsenal 4-1 2007/08 (8 matches so far) LFC-Toulouse 4-0 LFC-Derby 6-0 Reading-LFC 2-4 LFC-Besiktas 8-0 LFC-Porto 4-1 LFC-Bolton 4-0 Marseille-LFC 0-4 LFC-Portsmouth 4-1
  4. Why are you so sure of that ? I can see the problems you describe and I don't have the soloution for them. How do Barcelona make sure they're not overrun by Madrid supporters etc?
  5. Don't know Jim or Dave but it's so sad losing someone you love. Even more so when it's Christmas. My condolences. R.I.P. Jim
  6. Sign me up for the first £500
  7. ..... to buy our beloved club back from the two yanks? Is it insane to think that Liverpoolfans around the world might be able to raise the money required? I think I read in the anual report at one point that there are around 35 mill. active LFC supporters around the world. That's the ones connected to a local branch of some sorts. What if just 1 of the 35 mill. supporters could raise a £ 500 each? That's £ 500.000.000. Is that being unrealistic? Anyways, as said, it might be a nutty idea.... just something I've been thinking about lately and wanted to share.

I keep pinching my arm every time I see him score a goal. Thank f**k we managed to get this kid to sign for our club. 21 games, 1332 minutes played for Liverpool and 14 goals so far and he's just arrived, don't speak much of the language and everything is still new to him. Total different class about this boy. His natural ability, his pace, his technique. Just watch him out there today and you're speechless http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az8-Xxu9wMc
  13. Do we have a decent left back in the ressies?
  14. No worries...
  15. Let's see if he gets offered a new contract. I don't think he will and I think there might be more in his words than you think...
  16. Aye Spanish waiter....
  17. http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...3000173,00.html Benitez laughs off transfer reports Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has dismissed reports that restrictions have been placed on him in regard to strengthening his squad in January. The Spaniard had a much-publicised disagreement over transfer-window plans with American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks last month, but that was all cleared up at a meeting last weekend following the defeat against Manchester United. "In our meeting we talked about how to go forward, but we did not talk about the need to sell before we could buy," said the Liverpool boss. "We don't know exactly (what money will be spent). We need to find the players who can be good for us - I think we will be okay." On his own future, Benitez admits he would like to extend his stay beyond the end of his current contract - which is due to expire in 2010 - but he has not raised the issue with the Americans. "I have two-and-a-half years left on my contract, and I will be really pleased if they offered me another. I would say 'yes' - but I'm not expecting one." Captain Steven Gerrard and striker Fernando Torres are expected to return against Portsmouth, having missed the Carling Cup match with stomach upsets. Midfielder Xabi Alonso is back in contention after a 60-minute run-out at Stamford Bridge, having recovered from a broken foot, but England forward Peter Crouch is suspended after his sending-off against the Blues.
  18. Yeah I got that much from your first post. I was trying to say that there's apparently something that places proven pl players ahead of our reserves, no matter how good they are. I think it's connected to the crawing for instant succes. Instant succes means that there's not time to gently add the yournger players from reserves to first team players. This day and age everything needs to be done in a hurry, right here, right now.... I personally blame the football manager games
  19. Muntari could be defined as "youth" as well seing as he's only 23...
