Agree in general, but you arent giving any credit for the Stoke defence. they were superb. Keeper and 2/3 central defenders (Shawcross, Upson, Huth) did brilliantly. Wigans defence were probably cack.

Aye and they would have had a realistic "exit strategy" in the event of the meltdown. Not just "sell for a billion" cause its worth it..... Honest.

One person who has come out of this with plenty of credit is Ian Ayre. The only previous board member still here. Promoted by new owners. Promoted through his professionalism and competence. Goes about his business in a quiet assured (Liverpool) way. Take a bow son!!

Exactly. I remember standing on the kop in my "Standards Corrupted" top chanting for G&H to get out of our club, and Carra and Stevie jogged past on the cool down. You could see the pain as they clapped the demonstration. Clearly an awful position for them to be in at the time. I'm glad they didn't speak out. It would have made a s*** situation much s***ter.
