I think Mr Snorky is generally feeling the strain of the last few matches. Tonights side, was pretty much a side that most of us would have been happy with at kick off. That said - I'm not a big fan of this rotation policy, where you can have a blinder of a game one week and still be dropped the following saturday so you are "fresh" come April/May. Whilst Istanbul was fantastic and our Manager has a certain class that is lacking in many other managers I am not one of these reds who just keep saying "in rafa we trust" because of 2005. We have a fantastic squad of players but they just dont seem to be performing at the moment for whatever reason. I do think players spend to much time and effort trying to do a specific task rather than just playing football. If you take Torres and Gerrard out of the team we are really short on players who pose a goal threat. Teams I dont care to mention in the premier league seem to offer a lot more threat on goal than we do. We need to concentrate on the next game and worry about the one after that when we get to it. I'm sure that we still have lots to play for this season and think there may be one or two alcohol based opinions flying around at the moment. A win on Sunday and we are well in with a league challenge (long way to go but at least we are still there). 3 wins in the ECL and we should be through.
