I think if it was anyone but Man Utd on saturday we would have seen Agger play and gave Sami a rest, Rafa did this last season, resting Sami in between CL games and we saw the benefits against Juve and Chelsea, I think he will do the same this season.

I was in the lower centenery stand on tuesday, we got a couple of tickets for the reds suite so all the other reds suite-ers were sitting around us and, although I don't get over as much as I should I know how to support my team, the others who were sitting round us looked the part, covered in head to toe in Liverpool merchandise but they were late out of the bar at the start of the match disrupting me every time they had to get past, left early at half time to get there free tea or coffee and didn't come back until 5 minutes into the second half, they didn't sing one song! I think its the Kop for me everytime now.

Shearer stormed in and pushed Crouch and Stevie G was over like a shot defending his players, Big thumbs up for him there granted, but what was the difference between what Shearer did and what Terry and Gallas did on Pepe? Our players can't pick and choose who they defend and who they don't. As I said before its not that important but you would like to think that teamspirit is good and they are all in it together

The way he stands beside pepe and says nothing and then he sees Terry storm in like a bully and suddenly he finds his balls and is in Pepes face. Complete Tosser. BTW Never watch football with the missus, just after Pepes sending off with me calling Robben all the names under the sun, Robben goes on a dribble in our area (TBH it was good skill, but he is a cheating c*** so it doesn't count!) and she turns round to me and says 'that was very good, he's a very good player, why don't yous' try and buy him'...needless to say after my replay I knew I had to make my own dinner...

Definatly agree, our players need to get some balls when it comes to situations like yesterday, I hate to say it but you have to look at a***, Man Utd and Chelsea and say that if one of their players get in a ruck, all the players are over helping out, whether their player is in the right or wrong. In the bigger picture its not that important but you don't want other teams to feel they can get in your face and intimidate you. Bar Finnan Momo and strangley enough 'ickle Luis our players rarely back each other up.

When a player makes a mistake, thats the kinda reaction you want to see from him, Alonso was doing everything possible and more to make up for his mistake. Brilliant player.

I hope he doesn't play as I am over for the Arsenal game and would like to see Robbies first game back, selfish I know but what the hell!

I think that it was good management not letting him go in the summer, Rafa probably wanted to see how Pepe settled into the team and the premiership, I would say that Rafa will let him go if he gets a decent offer now though.

What a difference a year makes! Stevie G is certainly growing into the man and captain that we all thought he would become when he first broke into the team. I for one believed that all the comments he was coming out with last season about wanting to play in a successful team and wanting to challange for the league were building up excuses for the summer move to chelsea. I thought he turned his back on the club that he supported and the fans that supported him. I thought the sulky expressions on and off the pitch were ones of embarrassment because he knew that we knew he was betraying us. I was wrong. I am sorry. Seeing him being interviewed before the match last night he looked younger, fitter and happier than I have ever seen him, when he scored the goal that was genuine happiness on his face as he raced to celebrate with the fans, many of whom would of felt like me a year ago. I know many forgave him the minute he said he was staying, I didn't, I wanted to see how he performed on the pitch, what his comments were about his team mates, formations, Rafa etc, but I have to say that I was wrong to doubt him, he has done everthing right. The real Stevie G ( after a years break) has stood up.

The old Shearer line of 'charge me and I won't play for england' should be used. Carra should follow suit if needs be!
