  1. Yeah, I really respect the fact that he arranged £6M compensation to walk away from Liverpool with 4 years left on his contract, when he'd obviously already agreed to join Inter as their new manager and they should have been paying us compensation to get him. He then donates £96,000 of OUR £6M to the Hillsborough Family Support Group and he's a saint? f***ing hypocrisy on here is nauseating.
  2. No, really not gonna do this after all!
  3. The answer to the thread title is NEVER.
  4. I don't know, was it?
  5. So according to you we sold Crouch to Portsmouth for £10M, they paid nothing at all towards the fee ever, and we wrote it off and included it as a fee for Johnson?????? And because Roma owe us some add-ons for Riise we bought a player for £17M (how much up front?)with severe injury problems stretching back for 3 seasons and then came out and said they'd told us some fibs about how bad his injury was? RE Kuyt, we bought him as a striker and paid £11M for him, if he'd been bought as a not very fast, not very good touch but ridiculously hardworking wide midfielder and we'd paid £11M for him I seriously doubt he'd be mentioned in the same sentence as success. Christ you're getting ridiculous now! Please point out which of the players fees I quoted are wrong!
  6. Pennant = £7M Riera = £8M Skrtel = £6M Cavalieri(sp?) = £3-4M Morientes = £6.5-8M Lucas = £6M Far closer to £40M than £30M. Keane was £20M, Aquilani £17m, Johnson £17M, Kuyt £11M, Babel £11M hardly bargain basement crazy gambles are they? And why are you so obsessed with other clubs? Does it make our season any better because Arsenal didn't win anything, or United with their -£60M net spend still did far better than us? Kuyt was signed as an £11M first choice striker, who has been moved out wide where his running round like a madman with poor control and no pace are slightly more use; if he's a success to you then that explains a lot of your posts. Who on Earth would pay that for him?
  7. Most of that list has yes, mostly signed a few years ao as well - dunno if thats relevant or not. Pennant, Riera, Skrtel, Cavalieri(sp?), Morientes, Lucas = approx £40M is that good business? Well bearing in mind that Johnson, Kuyt, Babel and Aquilani would all fetch less than we paid for them, and a lot less, thats a strange list and I don't see what point you're failing to make? If you take Torres out of that list I doubt it'd break even on purchase price to be honest.
  8. Does the CL final in 2006 count?
  9. No points have been missed, if a manager continuously makes mistakes with signing players there is no way on God's Earth he should just be allowed to sell them at a loss and then spend that money on more players, and why should he be? We always need good experienced players, Rafa just seems to be making a habit out of spending money on the wrong ones and then moving them on losing the club money. And of course it matters who'smistake it is! Someone above posted that Rafa thought he had £20M to spend and he did, he spent it on Keane and wasted it. If he'd bought someone decent first time then the question of whether he got the proceeds from the subsequent sale to spend would never have come up. Kuyt, Babel, Keane, Dossena, Aquilani and to some extent Johnson = approx £84M worth of players; do you think it's been good business?
  10. So why did we spend £20M on him then? f*** me it's fine crying about Rafa not getting the Keane money to spend AGAIN, but if he'd bought anyone any good first time round it wouldn't be an issue would it? How can anyone spend that amount of money on a player who didn't naturally fit anywhere in our team and then turned out to be completely unsuitable immediately? Where does the buck stop round here? Same with Dossena, if £7M can't get you a decent premier league LB then I'll eat my hat, not Rafa though - he signs the one fat, slow italian defender who can't actually defend, sells him at a loss(If he's actually been sold yet) and then it's trotted out that Rafa didn't get this money back to reinvest either!!!!!! Would you give him your money?
  11. So in 5 months under Rafa he went from being a "Good premiership player" to being "terrible"?
  12. If us selling Keane back to Spurs for an initial £12M with any add ons looking very unlikely is in your opinion "Possibly the best transfer deal in history" Does that mean that Spurs selling Rafa such a 'turd' player for £20M in the first place just 3 months earlier was DEFINITELY the best transfer deal in history?
  13. So no list then? Bulls*** all the way as per usual. Bye.
  14. Can't be bothered to be honest, you see what you wanna see.
  15. Print your list of players or shut up.
  16. Has he really? I look forward to you backing this up because Rafa has spent over £145M in the last three seasons signing players including Torres, Mascherano, Keane, Aquilani, Johnson, Babel, Dossena and Skrtel. I couldn't find a definitive list for MoN at Villa, but one article suggested that he's spent around £55M? Print your list big mouth.
  17. I stand corrected, slightly; Young £9m, milner £12M (I got the Milner price wrong) Balel £11M, Riera £8M - so you're correct Milner and Young cost £2M more. Milner and Young are now both worth around £25M each = £50M, more than double their cost. Babel would/will fetch around £7-8M and we'll get hardly anything for Riera = £10-12M, just over half of their cost. Its just funny that everyone queues up to ridicule managers like MoN who has done a very good job on limited resources while selling his best player.
  18. Out of interest who paid over £11M for Babel? MoN bought Ashley Young and Milner while Rafa bought Babel and Riera for more money, who do you think did best? Carry on with your mutual back-slapping because it's always funny to watch, Rafa's had money and wasted huge chunksof it, he finished behind MoN and Villa this season and 2 point ahead of Moyes at Everton. So carry on with your smug little bitchfest, MoN sold his best player in Gareth Barry and has improved his teams performance, what's Rafa done this year? Oh yeah, it's all the Yanks fault isn't it?
  19. What about the Wigan LB Fig??? plays CB for his country and LB for his club. We definitely need at least one new first choice defender as we are so rocky at the back it's a joke. We need pace back there as well and the firswt poster to say pace isn't important can f*** right off.
  20. So why did Rafa try to sell him the year before as well then? If as has been said many times in this thread "the World and their wife knew that Alonso made us play" then why did the manager spendover 12 months trying to sell him? To replace him first with Gareth Barry and then with Aquilani? If we had no cover for Torres, bearing in mind that Rafa spent over £11M each on Kuyt and Babel who are both supposed to be strikers yet apparently don't count, why didn't we keep Arbeloa, and spend the other £11M from the Johnson deal on a 2nd striker/Torres cover? And then look to take maybe Distin and a couple of youngsters for the money they owed us? I'm not up on Pompey players too much but you get the point.
  21. Yeah I have, you're a k****ead who happens to be friends and family members with similar people who post on here.
