  5. Dubious taste in Brazilian beer our "Brazucas"... Serramalte and Bohemia are much better (but Brazilian beer is, in general, piss poor... Maybe this explains Coutinho groaning while urinating!
  6. Please tell me they didn't drink Skol? Great stuff btw! Had to share with my Brazilian friends here in Belo Horizonte.
  7. Chape goalkeeper Danilo has died in the hospital. Atlético have asked CONMEBOL to award Chapecoense the title.
  8. Actually, they were due to play the first leg of the final but they never made it that far. Only three players and two journalists survived the crash. Brazil is in shock and the return leg of the Copa do Brasil final has been postponed. Awful, awful mood in here, obviously!
  9. JFT96 YNWA
  10. Do you have any sources (in Portuguese) confirming that? This (admittedly, probably not the most trustworthy) link disagrees with you.
  11. The Brasileirão is without a doubt one of the most exciting leagues to follow. There are always a few big teams performing well below expectations (which is pretty natural as there are so many big teams!) but it's a pretty competitive league. In the last ten years or so, I think that only São Paulo have managed to walk the league once (as well as Flu last season, arguably). I personally remember the nerve-wrecking final match of the season in 2009 when Flamengo hosted Grêmio. We (Mengão) went behind but managed to recover - and in the end Fla won 2-1 as well as the sixth title (yes, the SIXTH, not the FIFTH!). I do think that Grêmio were afraid to win that match though, due to the GreNal rivalry. Ever since I left Rio it's been a bitch to follow the late night matches because of the time difference (at the moment it's five hours!). Not that Fla have been that much fun to follow the last few years (I really miss Vágner Love!), mind... Great thread, Niemeyer!

  20. Tioté also stamped on Sturridge. http://i.minus.com/ibdV8i0n2A7l0y.gif He managed to escape a booking as well, which is rather incredible! But it's all Suárez' fault, obviously!
  21. Coutinho, Coutinho, você é fofinho! OR Ôooh, Coutinho, gostamos de você Ôooh, Coutinho, melhor do que o Pelé!
  22. The best thing for brøndby is to start from scratch again in the 3rd or 4th tier without the old man, of course. Personally, I really hope he stays (and Auri Skarbalius, too, please!) and continue to screw you over, as I hate you lot more than any other team, bar manure. How much money is it that you owe to former players, £3-4m? Good luck with that.
  23. Agger Wisdom Suso Also, Morse, I think Assaidi came on at some point? Maybe Sahin went off, not sure about that.
  24. Some of us are actually trying to eat here!!!
