Listen geezer, I've been to Anfield 3 times, Arsenal youth cup final first leg, Leeds at home (we all stand together) and Boro when Zenden played for them. Its matchgoers humour, don't make me out you.
-
Yeah, me too. Especially the relegation to the championship bit added to the insult to another matchgoer that back fired ever so slightly.

How close are we to being 100% of what Rafa wants?
Mascherano replied to Philby's topic in Liverpool FC
From memory (i'm getting on mind) Babel stated that he only worked on his defensive duties (at LFC) in training, in that interview? -
Rafa, Gerrard, Carra, Owen and Crouch
Mascherano replied to Rory Fitzgerald 's topic in Liverpool FC
Thanks for posting that, made me laugh. -
1. Gerrard 2. Reina 3. Carragher Babel is a striker, i can't ignore it any longer.
-
Mascherano Kuyt Skrtel

1. carra 2. mascherano Not that impressed with anyone else. Not impressed with how we are playing. Lucas on the left is a fooking joke and Keane needs to be played correctly or we have wasted £19M. I can't see what plan he has for Keane at the moment because it isn't working, so far.

Like when Henry was shipped out of Italy?
-
I'm not an expert on this one either Eric. I was impressed with Quaresma when he played against us, though I know many were not. Riera seems to be disliked by the fans at Espanyol as well. I don't know the truth about the quotes from Quaresma re changing his style but to be honest with you he is a big talent. If he signed it would be up to Rafa to make it work. I take your point though, its got to be considered.
-
You seem to have decided that its a redundant argument in rather final terms. With respect, you don't appear to have thought the matter through. It is clear that Rafa wants to sell players and things can be structured in a way that make a deal possible. No, I don't have £20 million to give as a gift, just in case you were wondering.
-
You would take Quaresma over Riera, surely?
-
Reira does remind me of an older Leto. I've watched him a bit in la liga and he doesn't do anything particularly well. He does alot of flicks to make up for his lack of pace. The opposition will man mark him out of the game with a faster, stronger player. I'd love Quaresma. I've read the debate on here about him and I have decided that I mainly agree with Kaizer. I'd rather a speedie player with outragous skill with the roar of the Kop behind him than....Riera.

I don't think the ball that was played was overly difficult, he just made a mess of it. He then proceeded to give chase half heartedly. Who played the ball to him Graham? I can't quite remember.
-
Players don't give the ball to other players they don't trust. When he did get a pass, he fell over the ball and played it back into Boro possession. He is out of his depth, at least I feel, he believes that. The ones who don't trust him are probably the half wits though.

I am losing faith in Babel. I think that my opinion was swayed because Wenger was interested. I look at Babel and see real potental. However, he needs to take a trip to see the wizard of OZ. Like the lion, he needs courage. Like the tin man, he needs a heart. Like the scarecrow, he needs a brain. He'll be some player when the wizard sorts him out. I watch Ashley Young and think, 'if only'.

1. Gerrard. Showed real determination. 2. Reina 3. Carra Unlucky not to feature were Torres and Skrtel. I think Skrtel is the real deal and soon it will be him and another. He is a fighter with excellent technical ability with the ball, for a central defender. Please work on some attacking headers this week Martin.

I agree with Danny Murphy, s*** player but obviously perceptive. Some folk get on here once a day to check the up date, whilst others sit at work on paid time typing s*** on a thread where their s*** is out of place, having exchanges with children or students, media whores, or others in paid employment with equal disdain for working regulations about internet activity. Someone pointed out that the mods will moderate, so I suggest they start doing that. I don't use the general forum but presume that chats between friends would be better placed there? GWISTOOSHORT rules. Thanks for your efforts.

1. Torres (thank f*** we have him) 2. Reina 3. Alonso
-
I was really impressed with our passing yesterday and good movement. I was really impressed with Xabi Alonso. I've had the debate about Alonso in the past but I will say that I love players with a will to win, a will to impose themselves on games and to dominate. I hadn't seen much evidence of that in the past two seasons and that was my major concern. Xabi is a gifted footballer no doubt, I just saw him as a lover and not a fighter. However, I have seen fight in him over the last couple of games and I wonder whether Rafa has designed this scenario with seeking offers on Xabi to see what reaction he gets. Maybe Rafa has tried to be Xabi's mate and nothing changed. Maybe this situation can return Xabi to his early LFC form? I like the look of Dossena. The left back providing an attacking outlet in advance of the attacking midfielder is a wonderful sight, especially when that full back can pass and cross! Agger looked good. We have real strength at centre back. Ohhhh SAMI SAMI....

"Transfer thread" what a treat the last few pages have been. A discussion group about the merits of Pennant and Dos Santos. Seriously, can you take it to another thread?
-
The stupid s**** on this thread is starting to get on my t***. Alot of you have posted alot. There must come a point when you must have said all that you can. Please 'do one' over the summer and let me come home from work (where I can't sit and read this forum and argue the toss) and find wonderful TRANSFER NEWS on this, the TRANSFER THREAD.
-
1. Whoever it was who took over Pennants body. He was two footed, determined and attacked the birmingham players and penalty area excellently. 2. Skrtel 3. Voronin. (I thought that he showed some good determination)
-
I agree. Can't see the reason for Gerrard to be in anyones top three.
-
Its about time we started to think like winners. We should have some b******s about us and go there with a positive mindset. I have just endured Drogba cheating and diving all over the place and getting away with it and defenders like Terry leading with the arm and knocking Torres at every opportunity. These filthy c***s have taken the piss and we should f*** them over for it. w***ers, all of them. We are LFC, we dominated parts of that game in a way we haven't done for years and we can do it again. Gerrard will need to lead from the front, Torres must teach Mungo a lesson and the rest must have the mindset of champions. We can do them, we will do them.
-
1. Skrtel (starting to love this guy) 2. Pennant (got forward really well, good job) 3. Voronin Mascherano was close, loved the Javier Mascherano song, absolutely wicked. Lucas, I don't know...some great passing ability...hope he finds a better level next season.
