  2. Agree with this.
  3. It verges on mildly interesting behind us. Everton still have to entertain City, for instance.
  4. The two between the lines lads I've mentioned and Borini. Huge improvement.
  5. Whoever they pick, they have enough to worry us. Whoever they pick, we have enough to beat them.
  6. He's picked a "work your plums off" eleven there. He wants 0-0 on 60.
  7. I think it is a fine balancing act. Like you said before you'd want someone better than Borini. Someone better than Borini challenges Sturridge. I think Sturridge accepts he'll be subbed before Suarez but I don't think he'll be happy with genuine competition. I keep saying it but we need to do it with as few as possible and this summer have as little disruption as possible. I'd add two lads who specialise between the lines but who can also play either up front or in midfield. I'd add a left back and probably a centre half. Maybe another centre mid with a similar profile to Henderson and Allen. Young, capable in a few positions, likely to be patient. 19/20 in total and use youngsters for the remainder.
  8. I don't think it's a footballing miracle. I'd say he's done the third best job of any manager this season. I think that also seems to be the general consensus amongst those who speak of these things though I could be wrong.
  9. Listen, if through some comic series of events I end up refereeing the game on Sunday then I'll be happy to take five minutes in a room with Rui after the full time whistle.
  10. Rui Faria would f***ing batter me by the time I was finished.
  11. I defo want a Wool. I don't want a Baldie.
  12. He still had to get those players in and get them playing. He's got them at 2 points a game. Had we got 2 points a game you'd have been made up and talking Rodgers up. Rightly. He's done really, really well. I think it is being stated about right. Nowhere near as good as Rodgers. Probably not as good as Pulis. Better than everyone else.
  13. Having now met a few of these people (football journalists) you'd be amazed how much in a bubble they are. They rarely get out of it and talk to normal people and can easily talk themselves into a frenzy. The ones I've met that are relatively normal all have stories about exactly how closed off the ones who aren't find themselves. They are dead, dead bedroom *and* bang into hierarchy. So for Barclay, well if Ferguson thinks it, who am I to argue...
  14. Definitely. But that's fine. If they want to do that and it works for them, then OK. Not worked for anyone else all season but no one is as good at it as them. That said, if it is tight on 70 there's one side that wants it far, far more along with forty thousand maniacs.
  15. As soon as we couldn't play a rearranged game against City I was convinced we win the league the weekend we play Palace. Seen nothing to change that.
  16. Given the injuries for City, the World Cup on the horizon, the general reaction to our result against Norwich, the specific reaction from City and Chelsea of our win against City, the fact that Chelsea can win three times domestically and win nothing, win three times in Europe and win the European Cup and City's rampaging sanity, thwarting them at every turn, I think if we beat Chelsea City will drop points against either or both of Palace and Everton. And I also think we will win all of our games.
  17. Skrtel Sterling Allen
  18. I'd agree with all that. Yes, it was nervy but they were fighting for their lives, the most vital performance they've put in for weeks. They were at home and they weren't going to be blown away by us. We did the business.
  19. After the first game I used it, I think. Said I was going to keep saying it because no reason not to.
  20. Could have done without it before the league is in the bag to be honest.
  21. Did very well in Pogues.
  22. Whoa. Hang on. This is Liverpool specific. The Leses are nationwide and I for one am looking forward to FA Cup Final day to argue with Sean until he falls asleep.
  23. Swansea come up. Play interesting football, give us their manager who goes on to be brilliant for us, buy Michu, bring Michael Laudrup into the country and win a league cup, impressing everyone and making friends. Cardiff. Change the colour of the kit, play dreadful football, sack the alehouse manager, buy that Scandinavian lad for billions, bring Solksjaer back into the country and make everyone think they are dreadful lads. Hopefully get relegated. The end.
