LOL, Clemence is still probably our best ever keeper, no?

Clemence had only played for Sc***horpe before us, albeit that he had a year or two in reserves before first team breakthrough -but Ward's Aberdeen & Huddersfield stints are probably higher profile game action than Clem had in the Central League (which I think reserve league was called back then). Not saying Ward should be chucked into City game and I suppose Jurgen hasn't seen enough in him to take a punt on him displacing either of our two main keepers

In fairness, Klopp's buys have generally been good so far. There have been none of the scattergun wild misses that Rodgers splurged on. I trust him to get the right players for positions when they are available.

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, was it Case?, Barcelona have no urgent need of Coutinho in Jan seeing as they can't play him in CL and they are already cantering away with their league so I wonder why the feck they are jerking everyone's chain to make a transfer happen now instead of waiting til summer when it could happen with far less ill will all round.

Who was it posted a link here a couple weeks back from someone saying we'd break our transfer record twice in January. VvD is one and I suppose if Phil is offski, and it's kinda looking that way now, then maybe we're gonna spring for Lemar?
