My thoughts exactly as I was reading the thread this morning thinking "What the hell have I started here!" Just to clarify - I think his articles are pretty bloody good. I think they're weakened by the "I told you so" parts of them, of which every article I've read - and granted it's only been about 20 - has contained. Just don't think there's any need for it really, those of us who read him consistently know when he's right.

Latest Tomkins Article Here Am I the only one who can't remember the last time Tomkins had an article that didn't include comments along the lines of "Ten months ago I predicted ________", or "Earlier this season I said _______________" and then go on to prove himself right? My ex-girlfriend was a lot like that.

Just downloaded it off the offal website. In the same week that Spurs and ManUre were booed at times - granted it wasn't ManUre's last home game of the season - it was nice to see our fans giving the players a deserved standing ovation, along with a loud YNWA and Rafa-Rafael. Really makes you proud seeing it - given we've got plenty of idiotic fans, and plenty of them that are in it because it's fashionable - but on the whole we've got a great support. Well done to everyone who was part of it Saturday. And top marks to Sami who took his shirt off and handed it to a little girl in the front row.

Agreed, he's turned out to be expensive for the goals return. For whatever reason, probably the physical nature of the English game, Nando hasn't been a success. But it's not because he's not world class. There are plenty of world class players that wouldn't be as successful in England. The same argument could be made by a certain team who just paid 17 million for a striker who's been injured half the season. On the flip side Darren Bent is hardly world class, but he's knocked in 20 plus goals this season.

You're so much sharper than Rafa. That's great and all, but what you said was: Which insinuates that Morientes is not better than Cisse, which he most definitely is. Nando is world class, simple. And he was pretty cheap too. Your argument is full of holes.
