Great post Mike. It's not too dissimilar to a quality player coming through from a mid-tier club and just not being able to make the step-up, despite occasionally shining. Doesn't make BR a spoofer, just means that in the end, he hasn't been good enough consistently. Defo time for him to go, but the number of people with knives out eagerly awaiting it leaves a bit of a bad taste - Hodgson was the only manager I've ever been glad to see leave the club. Definitely agree with this too - our squad feels like a squad that's been inherited, no real structure and plan to the kind of players.

What a t***. Rooney? To be fair, he's spent s*** tons of money over the past 3 seasons. Quite confident that a better manager would have much, much more to show for it. You should know better than to engage with DD by now.

Great summary really. I don't think they have any evil intent or are trying just to make a few bob from us, but they're clearly not putting 110% in either. At the end of the day I think that's all any of us expect from every level of the club. One of your better posts.

Nah, you're way off. You may have missed my second post where I said I didn't mean it was a good kind of cerebral. He's putting way too much thought into it. How many times have we seen him change tactics multiple times during a match? A lot.

I should have clarified, it isn't GOOD at being cerebral, but it is. We've been passionless for the past couple of years unless we had an inherently passionate player on the pitch - Suarez, Carra, Gerrard pre-2014-15. Then we've brought in 2 coaches who are clearly very tactically driven minds. Sometimes you put players in their natural positions and say 'work harder than the opposition does'
