    Klopp saying Milner’s been ill and Van Dijk has lost 3-4 kg through illness as well. That trip to Dubai went well ffs. I’d really like to see us playing Firmino in his proper position and using Salah from the right again. It seems so much more effective. Didn’t matter too much when we weren’t conceding any goals but we really can’t afford to have the front three not performing (well those two, can’t fault Mane too much).

    Milner isn’t starting ahead of Wijnaldum, Henderson or Fabinho. And that’s assuming he doesn’t play one of Keita or Shaqiri which gives him even less chance.

    It's one way to look at it. Also when you consider the state of the pitch, Henderson having to play at right back etc, VVD (and maybe others) not being well etc, it's unlikely we'll have to deal with all that again. But I think it's probably more likely that they think they've gotten away with it (kind of) and can go again though. We've also had 2 opportunities to pull away from City so far and not taken either which will give them confidence.

    Not sure how much of an advantage it’s going to be playing at Anfield for the rest of the season. The crowd was unbelievably nervous and it affects the players.

    I don’t think it’s a red because it’s going away from goal and Mane would probably need another touch to bring it inside. Can see why people think it’s a red but don’t think it’s a terrible decision either way. That’s a blatant penalty on Keita though ffs.
