Arteta, Martyn, Yobo... I very much doubt that article is true. It makes him out to be a player who's best suited a few divisions below. He was one of Udinese's best players when they finish fourth in Serie A and qualifed for the Champions League.
I don't see why he would. It's not just about holding out for his 'favourite club', it's about getting a decent fee for Southampton who presumably he is leaving on good terms with too. If we won't match Arsenal's then there I can't blame him too much for going there.

I wouldn't determine the size of a club purely by success. You have to consider other things too like fanbase, money and so on. They're the bigger club, we're the most successful, sounds fair enough to me.
Just watched it on the BBC website. Moaning for over five minutes straight non-stop, barely pausing to take a breath. Embarrassing really. As for those stats he reeled off...
I thought he was pretty quiet today, especially in the first half, but we did start to control the game and look more of a threat when he moved into the centre and Sissoko went out to the right. Whether that was just a coincidence...
I thought we were quite average in the first 50-55 minutes or so. Spurs weren't much better but considering they were the away side then you can see why they thought they were 'controlling the game'. We dominated the last half an hour though...
Experienced players like Kromkamp, Agger, Carson, Alonso, Sissoko and even Crouch. Not to mention the likes of Barragan etc. He's chatting s****. And the comment about Agger being right side just embarrasses him.
