I'm not worried really. He's not good enough for this league, never has been and never will be (in my opinion). I look forward to his replacement in the summer.
That was my concern. But he'll get more games than here I'm certain about that. Plus, Bellamy (as he always is) and Dickov are currently injured I think so he may well start upfront alongside Kuqi for the next couple of games.
Still think it's a good deal for both clubs. Whether you rate him or not, Rafa doesn't use him very much so it's not exactly going to be a big miss. Especially with the arrival of Fowler. At least this way, with a good run of games, we should be a lot closer to knowing how good he is, or can be.
Good move I think. He'd have started about 3-4 games at most from now until the end of the season here, the rest made up with odd spells off the bench, especially since Fowler's arrived, so at least with this we can get a proper look at how he does with a run of games. Presuming he's not just going to be on Blackburn's bench all the time.
Players don't normally run away from the goal they scored. Not only that though, he ran off the pitch, along the track at the side of the pitch, winding up all the supporters who were a few yards away from him as he did it. I was sitting in that stand at the time and pissed myself laughing as he did it. I'd be a bit of a hypocrite to slag off Neville now for his 'celebration'.
One bad miss? Hardly. He was utter garbage and back to his usual self, in terms of laziness and sulking. Probably because Gerrard b******ed him early on. I've always backed him and given him the benefit of the doubt but not really arsed anymore and look forward to seeing his replacement arrive in the summer.
Defensively we've been quite good. Man Utd have barely had half a chance. Going forward we've been poor though. No help from Cisse who's been dreadful and Gerrard isn't in the game enough. Still worrying though as always a danger with Rooney and van Nistelrooy around.
Not enough to have an opinion on whether he'd do well here. But he was highly rated at Udinese (and in Serie A as a whole), played in most of their games when they surprisingly finished 4th and as a result, played for his national team. Doesn't sound like a £700k player to me. As much as I'd love it to be true.
