Great saves against Aguero and again with Silva towards the end there. He had zero reaction time for their first so all he can do is make himself big and hope Aguero doesn’t find the top corner. Think it’s harsh to criticise him much for that.

That pass at the end though. Why would you hit it straight from 60 yards with your weaker foot instead of playing it out wide for Robertson?

Yeah but look at ours. Brighton, Palace, Leicester, West Ham, Bournemouth. No reason we can’t win all 5. Man City play Chelsea and Arsenal in that same period.

Salah was great. Henderson was good. But van Dijk is just incredible. The best centre back I’ve ever seen.

Another forward player or a number 10 (based on us continuing to use 4231 fairly regularly) should be the main priority. City have 5 to go in 3 positions and we should be aiming for similar.

It’s a big part of it. He’s not a number 10. Wanting to play Salah in the centre isnt getting the best out of him or Firmino. The only player who’s played relatively consistently is Mane who’s in the same position as last season.

He’s only been tried once though hasn’t he and we were 3-0 up at half time. David Silva and Bernardo Silva manage it for City. Not saying he’s nearly as good as them but you wouldn’t consider them central midfielders either. I think it’s worth another go.

He needs to use Shaqiri more. The front three have struggled all season and we’ve left one of the most in form creative players on the bench. Then add to it those 3 in midfield and the outcome isn’t a surprise.

Even this ref wouldn’t blow up with 30 mins to go.

Look so much better with the front three in their usual positions Tremendous result this.

Whether it’s to accommodate Shaqiri or it’s the answer to getting Salah central, we’re playing two thirds of the front three out of position. Firmino’s spending half the game in the centre circle and Salah is being used to hold the ball up against their centre backs. It’s not a surprise we’re struggling going forward. No idea why we’re messing about with the front three.

He was alright but he still looks slow and laboured. Wouldn’t be confident with him against a good side.

Very lucky to be ahead. Not playing very well. Don’t know why we don’t press much anymore but doesn’t look like it’s coming back anytime soon. If we raise it just a little bit we’ll win this comfortably.

Agree with Phil. Would prefer to choose when Moreno starts rather than risk it being forced upon us. It really shouldn't matter against Fulham. We're still going to pick an almost full strength side against the worst defence in the league.

I don’t think moving the forwards around is helping much either. It seems to be an attempt to get Salah into the centre but he scored 40-odd goals last season from the right so why change it? Mane wasn’t great but he went past their right back a few times in the first half and was our biggest threat yet in the second half he’s moved over to the right and Salah pushed into the centre. Maybe Salah’s asked to play more centrally but it was so effective last season I don’t understanding why we’d mess about with it. They’re struggling enough as it is.
