I think he's still at about 80% but he's making a positive contribution to every game. Good to see him bursting past the full back inside their box that time too, proves he still has his bit of pace.

The only right-back I can think of who is better than Finnan is Zanetti. Thuram was a few years back too but he's playing CB now. Sagnol is about on a par. By the way, neither Cafu or Zambrotta are as good as Finnan defensively.

Don't agree with that, he's one of the best crosser of a ball in the club and a very good passer, he has two or three assists (for what they're worth) already this season

Morgan didn't back off until his offer was refused though and we don't know what Kraft backed off for financial reasons. It's as likely that he backed off because the sport is corrupt as f*** and unstable. Nobody in England will make any money from a club until individual clubs get the rights to sell their games, just look at how much Juve got last week. -
I remember you or Eskimo mentioning him at the time we signed Barragan, that little sweetener we gave them for him might come into play so. Strange logic, Finnan isn't a great player because someone else is s***, he's a great player because of what he does on the pitch, other people's performances have no relation to his.

He's not been quite as impressive this season, he's still a brilliant keeper though.

I wonder how things would have worked out had he stayed, we wouldn't have had one or other of Alonso and Garcia who each made a huge impact on our performances last season.

Agreed, I'm sure we'll have another opinion amnesty soon and he can admit he was wrong. I thought Finnan wasn't good enough for us both before and for a year after he signed. I also thought Carra was nothing more than a utility squad player. I doubt I was the only one who felt that either.
