lazy journalism. henry and arsenal have underachieved this season (on the domestic front). henry never waits long to get a goal or show a bit of magic, but i reckon this has not been his best season in terms of the impact his performances have had on his side's fortunes. i couldn't single out anyone at LFC or Chelsea, because the respective managers have got their players performing as a team. stevie g continues to develop and improve, and is well worthy of being the players' player of the season, but it's teamwork that has seen us earn such a better league position and got us to the cup final. i think rooney deserves it for no other reason than without him utd wouldn't have overachieved in the league with a relatively mediocre squad. he drives utd, who would otherwise have been ordinary, considering the resources they have available. van nistelrooy is the only other utd player to have had a consistently good season, but he hasn't been the threat of old.
