Exactly, we played the wrong strategy here going down the cultural difference route. Suarez made two gross errors and we've been punished One, he used negro or negrito or somesuch on the pitch directed at a player Two, he admitted it to the FA rather than keep schtum So we can bleat all we want about Fergie and the FA and corruption - and for sure they have given a very harsh ban as they try to make a point to FIFA - but let's not all pretend that Suarez is an angel here.

Never said he was s***; he's just not clinical enough. He wastes lotsof chances and fecks up lots of moves by being over elaborate. Then again he can create goals and chances out of nothing. Just don't think he works as the main striker and Carroll is obviosuly not up to sharing that burden. Its frustrating that we are playing some great football and creating lots of chances but not getting the goals we should.

Luis Suarez has taken 39 shots in his last seven matches, and has scored not a single goal. He's part of the problem as well.

Suarez hasn't scored since 1 October which is a very poor return for our main attacking outlet. He probably needs an out and out striker playing along side him - and that isn't the current version of Andy Carroll either.

Obviously my expectations are higher for Suarez but he's not clinical and we're not clinical. He needs to be told to get on with his game, quit falling around and moaning and be more direct.

Suarez was a lot more frustrating for me last night than Carroll. Time and time again overcomplicating things and giving away stupid free kicks through petulance when a move doesn't work out.
