  3. When the game is getting boring From his own half he'll be scoring He's our midfield maestro Alonso Alonso Alonso Oh, He never signed for United and the Drunken Tramp they knighted Said he's a f***ing Wino Alonso, Alonso, Alonso
  4. I thought it was wrong that he was refereeing that game when he reffed us 5 days previous. The booking for Sissoko iseemed a hangover from the Bolton game. On the whole he did okay, let the game flow, their pen looked a pen on first view so no complaints there and the yellow was spot on as Carra was about clear the ball. No card for the Luton defender i thought was right as well, the ball had gone past Gerrard so it was no longer a goalscoring opportunity, although it was a definite foul.
  5. Was fuming when they got there Pen - they showed about 3 replays and you could clearly see it wasn't a pen yet they didn't seem to notice until about 5 mins later yet a clear pen at the other end almost in the 6 yard box was harsh. t***s.
  6. 3 is harsh perhaps but he certainly wasn't one of the better players today.
  7. That's only a myth or fairy story though. The Bunnymen are reality. Now PANS people - that's another matter
  8. Carson - 6 Great save at 1-1 and was unlucky to get the penalty against. Finnan - 7 Got forward well and put in some good crosses, defensively got caught a number of times but cover usually dealt with the problem Riise - 5 Poor, but not helped with having no support from LM Sami - 4 Luton targeted his lack of pace and pressured him into a number of errors Carragher - 5 Covered well occasionally for Finnan but looked unusually uncomfortable. Alonso - 9 At times it was only him and Gerrard doing anything. The fella oozes class and he was 'Magnificent' . The Goals were stunning. Gerrard - 8 Fantastic Goal but struggled to get himself going after it (wasn't through a lack of trying, things just didn't seem to want to run for him) sorted himself out 2nd half. Kewell - 3 Never helped Risse out once, bottled out of 60/40's, Pass for Gerrard was a joke. Gave the knockers a reason to call him again, let himself down big time after some great performaces. Hope its 1 bad game in 10 now rather than 1 good game in 10. Sissoko - 4 Unusually found wanting in a game i thought he'd enjoy Cisse - 4 Offered nothing and it was a bad pen. Crouch - 4 Struggled and posed no threat to Luton's defense and did nothing defensively. Sinama - 8 Changed the game in our favor when he came on. Lacks match fitness as he looked knackered for the last 5 minutes and he'd only been on a short while.
  9. yes tis 'Echo' the god of the Bunny people and i am a Bunnyman
  10. For Mike Newell and Luton town 9not the fans) - you have to say they outplayed and outfought us for a large part of the game. It's a good job they didn't know how to lock up the game at 3-1 otr we'd be out of the cup now.
  11. Go Davey, Go Davey, Go Davey. You are Mystic Meg and i claim my five pounds
  12. Think the Solskjaer one was 1-1 and a prem game. Berger scored with a free kick and they equalised when sami was off the pitch at the end of the first half as you so rightly said. It could well be the one when Redknapp was penalised for a free kick that never was in the dying minutes?

  14. The more Mourinho talks about us the better - it means we are in his thoughts in terms of a danger to the current Chelsea bandwagon and that we are doing things right. I'd rather he was quoted discussing our positives and negatives than never mentioning us as that would mean we were mid table and no threat to him. Are we heading for a Wenger Ferguson mind games type scenario - Come on Rafa .
  15. As i said fans are only truly interested in one thing and that's what they see out on the pitch. You can only comment on what you see. If a player is fit enough to be out on the pitch he's fit enough to do the basics in the eyes of a supporter. So if it looks like a player has just stopped after a move breaks down and is slow to get back into a defensive position then that can easily be misconstrued as being uninterested in the 'team' side of a game. I accept that a player can be finding match fitness or suffering a loss of form. Also, I would never expect HK to track back 60 yards or go flying into a 50/50 tackle unless an injury to another player called for it, he's not that type of player, We have players who do that and do it very well, he'll never be a momo or a Didi or a Gerrard.
  16. There's been a definite change in Harry's attitude and application in games and whether that's down to regaining fitness, confidence, sorting out troubles off the field, hairstyles or something else, i don't know and couldn't really give a s***. All i and other fans are interested in is what we see going on on the pitch and HK was beyond woeful for a very very long time and the worse thing was we knew he could do 100 times better than he was. He's turned the corner and looks a footballer again, that's the first step. He's managed to get the fans back on his side, that's the second, mostly because he now looks interested and doesn't seem to be afraid to try things that don't always come off (a la Garcia). Let's hope he continues improving and becomes a regular matchwinner (a la Garcia) then with additions to the squad out wide we will be very strong.
  17. An alternative and festive version of The Pogues fairytale of New York performed by Bill 'Luvvie' Kenwright and David 'Gollum' Moyes Gollum in Bold A Nightmare of Woodison Park It was New Years Eve In the Spellow I remember you said to me Thank Christ that that years gone. And then upon the breeze Came song's of Istanbul Rome, Paris and Wembley Of hopes and dreams coming true You said this can?t go on I?ll have to sack you son Cos I?ve got a feeling This year were going down I said it?s Christmas You wouldn?t do that You said ?look, just f*** off will you?. That ?Duncan?s a tampon? And ?Beattie is fat? The Kopites in the wooden bullens road stand Were singing Scouser Tommy As the blues were streaming out On Derby day You're a bum you?re a punk You're a drama queen c*** I got you to Europe what more did you want To not be ashamed Every time that we played Happy Christmas your a*** I pray God it's our last The Kopites in the wooden bullens road stand Were singing Scouser Tommy As the blues were streaming out On Derby day I could have been someone Well I don?t think so, son You took my grand old team Made them a laughing stock I only did my best I couldn?t do no more Im just a Scottish ginger bore Now all my dreams are blue
  18. yep tis true. Best team on the day still wins 9 times out of 10 The nerves are kicking in already. Posts merged: Typical derby jitters for me. Tense and anxious now that'll be the semifinal of the CL last year for me couldn't sleep for a week before that one.
  19. For the blues to have a chance they need their performance from against Chelsea and our performance from against Fulham. I think they will perform like they did against Chelsea but don't think theres a hope in hell we'll put a performance like the one against Fulham in. Should be a cracker.
  20. Fred Lepoof?
  21. In fairness he was last down the tunnel bar Riena and patted a hell of a lot of reds on the back and said well played.
  22. Nice to see that the Newcastle fans are still as thick as ever. 'You'll never play for england' as crouch was substituted - unless it was sung to Bramble.
  23. Just sat open mouthed, shaking my head. I still don't understand how it all happened, i'm just so very happy that it did. If that was a fictional story made up by a local writer for a competition you'd be saying, 'jeez could have made it a bit more realistic, as if something like that would ever happen'.
  24. We saw it as a distraction because it does distract us from our domestic duties. They are in close season so it isn't a distracton for them - it's a jolly.
