  1. i did think of you when that gem went in - gerrard's reaction was a bit like mine!
  2. my mate is an australian, he still hasn't apologised, who follows the a*** but he truly hates the bitters and reckons alot of his footie watching 'oz' pals do too - seeing them as horrible racists, the irony of this is lost on my 'oz' pal
  3. don't want to turn this into too much of a 'gay love-in' BUT nice to see you, to see you - pat! well, hear you. and good inside stuff. which is all made up. hang on, get lost 'figaro' and all your iberian lies! bring back the baggage handlers! Posts merged: now that was funny! this sounds like a good deal all in all. rafa continues to impress me!
  4. i don't think he could have turned in the performances we've seen from him in any other shirt than ours. he gives 101% because perhaps he realises how close he came to leaving his club behind. he now sees what it means to be captain of the club he loves - of course 100k a week, euro champs medal, rafa, kissing xabi, pouncing on crouchiniho etc. all helps soften the blow of forsaking the dark side of the chavs.
  5. interpretation is an incredible thing - a difficult concept to get your head round. owen's transfer to real said a lot about him and his career,so i wonder what sort of a player would take advantage of a supposed contract clause and jump a sinking ship after just 12 months? owen perchance? if he did then no doubt a good part of me would be happy to see him back, just because it seems wrong to see him in another shirt. however imagine the geordie reaction and then see it from their side - would you want that sort of character/mentality at anfield? i think 'never go back' is the maxim to be applied here. when rushie went and i saw it on ceefax in those pre-interweb days i was gutted and had to phone friends to share those emotions. but owen's no rush or even fowler. i may well have booed him if i'd been at anfield y'day - but i'd feel embarressed now. much better to relive moments like the fa cup final where my joy was heard several houses down if my neighbours are to be believed. better a case of 'what if he'd returned' then 'why did we have him back?'
