  1. There's a poll at the Guardian asking whether or not Neville should be banned for his celebrations. Won't make much* difference, like, but still worth getting on... Guardian I'm gonna put this on all of the many, many Neville threads knocking about at the moment as well *any

  3. They also played the Proclaimers before the match so we could all sing our Morientes song along, which I thought was a nice touch.
  4. Why stop there, just as you're getting into your stride?
  5. Not sure if anyone would want to see it again, but here's a gif of it, which I have been very kindly emailed by a fecking glam... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
  6. BBC site Police concern at Neville gesture Neville could be in hot water with the FA Greater Manchester Police has written to the Football Association and Manchester United to complain over Gary Neville's goal celebrations. United skipper Neville ran the length of the Old Trafford pitch to celebrate his side's winner against Liverpool in front of the opposition fans. A statement from GMP said: "Chief Superintendent Andy Holt has written a letter expressing his concern. "No criminal investigation is taking place at this stage." Neville had been subjected to taunts from Liverpool fans throughout the game and reacted after Rio Ferdinand headed United's winner against the club's arch-rivals. England right-back Neville was seen grabbing his shirt and gesticulating at Liverpool supporters in celebration. The FA may now decide to take action against the 30-year-old following the letter sent by GMP. English football's governing body are believed to be waiting on the referee's report and are expected to make a statement on Monday afternoon.
  7. Even though we were so far back, he still didn't dare to get within about 30 yards of the edge of the pitch, the fecking shi'thouse.
  8. Exactly - it was done in direct and immediate response to the Michael Shields chants. Why not ask his him if he's disappointed?

  16. I remember when we got it back to 3-2 feeling that I would have been happy if it had ended like that ? we?d salvaged a bit of pride. Then we started to sing ?We shall not be moved? and I actually began to believe it, and I also started to think that the Milan fans must have thought we were mental ? losing but singing on as if we were winning. Another thing I clearly remember is for Xabi?s penalty I wasn?t gutted or anything that he?d missed cos he just didn?t break stride and I knew all along that he was going to get the rebound in. It was almost as if he?d played a 1-2 off the keeper, the way he hit the ball, and kept running to where it was going to end up. Even when I watch it now on DVD, I still see it in my mind from where I was in the ground that night.
  17. He was just on a trial, wasn't he? So he was still 'owned' by his original cluband should just go back to them I would have thought.
  18. From the Ceefax report on the Rent Boys game: "Cole tapped in at the back post after several deflections had gone Chelsea's way and David James had saved from Eifur Gudjohnsen's mis-hit effort" Fecking typical.
  19. It wasn't a dirty game really. Poll had a shocker.
  20. Andy Gray: "I think the football's good...excellent at times...I certainly don't think it's stuffy"...
  21. Definitely a booking, but Momo didn't half make a meal of it.
