  1. The players have been through so many dramatic games, again and again, and have achieved great things. To think that these results in some friendly games of no importance will shatter their confidence, are IMO to underrate the players' mental abilties and what they are capable of. Not concerned at all, we've strengthen the squad, the players have now got a pre-season under their belt which will make sure that the players are up there in terms of fitness to the end, the tough and hard exercises are now over and they're eager as f*** to start playing proper games. Roll on Haifa.

  6. Aurelio took some great corners against Crewe.
  7. The green and white one looks more of a Carlsberg kit than a Liverpool kit. The green Carlsberg logo ruined the yellow one. If the logo was red, like the stripes on it, it would look pretty good. The red one would look better without the thin white stripe as well.
  8. Yeah, hail Materazzi!
  9. That he made a t** of himself is true but saying the things that were said by Materazzi doesn't matter is b******s.
  10. As well as being a very decent player, he also seems to behave himself and he's not full of diving antics like some of his teammates in the Portugese side.
  11. So what was being said doesn't matter? Yes, what Zidane did was stupid and deserved to be sent off. Zidane wouldn't reacted in the way he did if it weren't bad stuff that came out. Yes he should have ignored Materazzi but is f***ing easy to sit here in front of the telly with this holier than thou attitude and just brush off these things that were said and turn the blind eye. Zidane reacted in a bad way but he's just a human being who did a bad error because of the provocation. Sometimes it isn't easy to keep cool when getting bad abuse shouted at you. Look at Zidane's achievements through his career. Loser eh? Bad way to end his career yes but he's still been an absolute great player.
  12. Something really bad must have been said since it caused such an reaction from Zidane. Not surprised that it came from Materazzi, that f***ing scum has been a disgrace to football for years.

  18. The first booking that Togo defender got was never a booking.
  19. Thought Togo were alright myself. Well taken goal. Think things could have been different if they hadn't got that sending off. Still manage to create chances though they were ten men. South Korea weren't impressive I thought, they will have to raise their game if they're going to advance. Fancy Switzerland going through along with France myself.
  20. Norwegian has flights from Paris to Bergen. Check out the link Fles posted. I understand you're quite into music, so if you fancy coming to Norway that weekend, I recommend to get a ticket for Friday night concert with the legendary Norwegian rock band Dum Dum Boys.
  21. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/5061624.stm British bobbies charm Frankfurt By Tom Geoghegan BBC News, Frankfurt "Robbie the bobby" meets fans in Frankfurt British uniformed police have begun patrolling Frankfurt, ahead of England's opening World Cup match. Shouts of "Bobby, bobby, give us a song!" rang out across Frankfurt's main square. A group of Ipswich fans enjoying the German lager had spotted an unusual sight for Romerplatz - two uniformed British police officers. Entering into the spirit of the occasion, one of the officers known as "Robbie the bobby" gave a cheerful retort. "We've won it five times. We've won it five times!" he sang as he approached their table, in reference to Liverpool's European trophies. ...........
