They defended well. Can't say otherwise. Frustrating and desperate at times but sometimes it's just not your day going forwards. Ball never broke for us really in an attacking sense. I still find it encouraging how s*** scared they are of us. Two s*** goals to give away aside they were pretty crap. Second half they were hanging on, desperate. Should have had at least 2 pens too.

Moving on that many players means having to get a shed load in again. Lallana and Clyne are perfectly decent options in the squad and have both played well before injury. They'd have been involved loads this season otherwise. Moreno, Ings and Minge though can all find their way out the door.

Spurs have done nothing of note. City aren't really a rival for what we're tying to push for right now. Chelsea haven't done anything yet. United fine. Arsenal fine.

VVD, and any ch for that matter would be much better if we had a midfield that put a tackle in, offered some protection and generally didn't just let people run through unchecked into the box.

I think the value isn't the issue more the idea they can make costly errors in the market without it being an issue when it comes to spending more. And frankly anyone using City as a guideline for how we should spend money is obviously living in a crazy universe where money just appears and disappears without consequence.
