    Largely agree. I also think on reflection that after their goal Lucas could have made a big difference. We needed an experienced head and someone with a bit of nous in there to break up attacks and sense danger and just keep things clam for at least 15 mins.

    We looked a man light all night in midfield. In that scenario the two in there are inevitably going to look poor.

    He doesn't think like a defender. On their first goal, even after a poor header he doesn't need to go flying in trying to win the ball. A defensive minded full back wouldn't be thinking that there. They would be thinking: 1. Don't let the attacker get past me and run into the box 2. Block the cross Suicidial to fly in like that and risk being beaten in a situation where if you're beaten here's a good chance they score.

    Guess we all see it differently but I thought Can and Milner looked pretty over run for about 70 of the 90 minutes. I really thought we needed Allen or Henderson on much earlier for one of the three in front of them.

    Klopp's a great manager, unalarmed by his finals record. That said he didn't have the best of nights IMO. We looked one light in the middle virtually the whole game.

    Nah. I'd think the same in any team sport where one player had tested positive for a banned substance. It's not the usual thing on a cup run of getting lucky with a couple of marginal calls. It's a player taking a PED. The club have, IMO, reacted very well and (so far as it's possible to tell) look pretty blameless. Personally I'd be in favour of player contract being terminated for testing positive.

    Saying that two players can fail and it has no consequences for the team concerned is clearly open to abuse. Whatever happens now with Villareal Sakho's actions have taken the excitement away from this run for me a bit.

    Not a good night for Klopp that: big call on Sturridge didn't pan out well.

    Agree he will likely get more than six months. And he should too. Disagree the regime is good. What matters is number of tests per athlete/player. Football pretty poor here.
