I would assume he's learning zonal marking and how to integrate into the back four. When he has played, he has been caught well out of position a couple of times so he needs to get used to playing in a new unit.

I know they meant well, but it makes me think of the Nuremberg Laws. -
I detest what Owen did in leaving us in the lurch and planning to do it as well, but if his return would benefit Liverpool F.C., bring him back. All that matters is the team. If Owen had played against Benfica and scored the goals that put us through, I would would have cheered him to the rafters. I would never want a racist such as Bowyer, but apart from that if the team can use a player, even if that player is using the club, so be it. All that matters is the team.

Let's just hope it doesn't take us until the last day of the transfer wndow to offload those players, leaving us running around like headless chickens trying to finalise incoming transfers within twenty four hours. One other thing: why do people persist in linking SWP with us? Why on earth would Chelsea sell him to us?

Why the hell can't we ever get anything from a game in London? There is something very wrong, it's not just bad luck. Now we have a real fight on to qualify for the CL and the form we are in, both Spurs and Arsenal could overtake us.

On the upside: we have been in this position of being 1-0 and battered by Arsenal before in the 2001 FA cup final.........and look what happened. On the downside: we didn't have Garcia, Morientes and Crouch as our striking options.

By Monday the rags will have worked out that the easiest way for Rafa to get Ronaldo is for the player to stay where he is and Benitez to go to Real. Cue another round of Benitez off stories.
