Zubimendi can f*ck right off. Had his chance and sh*t himself.

They are going to get it at Anfield.

Arne just talks absolute sense in a straightforward way all the time, it’s lovely to listen to.
-
Did great when he came on, and think part of the reason is we played much more direct last night which suits him. Deserves a start against Southampton. Apart from a couple of early games, Jota is having an underwhelming, typically injury affected season. Every time he gets injured he’s crap for a while. Which isn’t great when you get injured so often.

Match Topic Liverpool vs Southampton - Premier League, 8th March @ 3pm

They had a week off before last night but looked off the pace - I think it negatively effects them a lot of the time. I’d go mostly full strength, hopefully get comfortably ahead then make loads of changes after an hour. Nunez start for Jota, maybe rest Ibou (injury prone). Then get Grav, Szobo, TAA and Macca off asap. -
Current City defo.

Said on the match thread, I think Arne got it right last night but our execution was terrible. We had quite a few opportunities breaking the lines when we should have been in on goal, but the final ball was absolutely hopeless. Weird for a team full of brilliant passers of the ball. It should have looked like the City game, absorbing pressure and cutting through them on the break. Having that type of tactical flexibility could lead to a lot of winning trophies, it’s exciting. He is an exceptional coach.

Absolutely, plus I’ve never heard him say a single insightful thing during all the years of him being on the TV. -
Him telling young players not to run in the corridors at Kirkby could definitely reduce our injuries.

I think Slot got his tactics spot on but we didn’t execute, and that’s why it didn’t look like the City game. We had at least 6 (maybe more) huge opportunities to break on PSG last night and messed every single one up. Salah a couple of times, Jota a couple, Grav and Dom with really poor passes or decisions when we should have been in on goal. I don’t think we will pass the ball that badly again anytime soon, and we might cut them to pieces at home if they go all out attack at Anfield. Not sure whether it was the big European atmosphere for some of them or what, but our passing was appalling last night and that is never normally an issue for us. On the plus side Arne’s tactical flexibility could win us all sorts over the coming years if we invest in an already strong squad this summer (and retain at least 2/3 of the contract expirees). He is brilliant, have to back him. -
He’s like the footy version of the closer they send out in baseball. ‘That’s it lads, Endo’s on. Excitement is over’.

Lovely moment for Harvey. Good for him.

Mo was absolutely dreadful tonight, but he’s earned that off night many times over this season!

He said he’s the best in the world - pretty decent as far as compliments go! -
If Ali and his Mrs wanted another baby I would happily carry it for them. That beautiful man has brought me so much happiness over the last 7 years or so, 9 months would be the least I could give him.

Doubters to Believers Liverpool FC: Klopp’s Era on Amazon Prime
Leo No.8 replied to stacka's topic in Liverpool FC
I enjoyed bits of it, but couldn’t help but feel a bit sad that Jurgen didn’t win as many trophies as he deserved. He had a brilliant send off, but being brutally honest last season was really painful and really disappointing. So much though the insights were nice, and it was good to see some of his early days at Mainz and great nights with us, those were touched on briefly but half the timeline was a season I ended up just wanting to end. If and when we win the title this year, even though Jurgen isn’t here anymore, it’s kind of the proper ending and legacy he deserved himself. So I think those who would rather see us get this title won first then watch it off season, you are spot on. -
Haha said the same! Maybe we should bid for Baleba, then see who Brighton line up to replace him, then pounce! I do like Baleba though he has tons of energy, pace and a good footballer too. We’d have a great selection of midfield options if we added him, all bringing something a bit different. Arne likes to adapt to the opposition and he’d have serious options at his disposal. In regard to Cunha, I like the needle TBH. Every team needs a bit of that fire. Plenty of great Liverpool players have done similar over the years from Souness to Gerrard.

Nearly 1/2 in that Wolves team is impressive.
-
Who’s in goal? Ali has been faultless but was injured for a good while so Raya might get it. I reckon VVD and Saliba CBs, Robinson LB not sure about RB. Grav, Mac and maybe Baleba, Rice or Kluivert CM? Salah, Wood and Isak agree with.
-
Ryan Giggs could be a good bet for it.
-
Seems an absolute no brainer doesn’t it. Probably similar wages too. Cunha could be a star in a better side, he pretty much does it on his own for Wolves. Also works hard and rarely injured.
-
Yes, think he might have mentioned it once or twice! What Arne has done this season is incredible - it’s still kind of hard to get your head around. He is clearly a brilliant coach, tactically and the way he has managed individuals and the squad has been supreme. FSG are tight f*ckers but you have to accept they really know how to hire exceptional managers (let’s call BR their Nottingham Forest). Slot was a masterstroke.

He’s a great closer, bring him on to see the game out. As long as he’s happy doing it I’d keep him. Really like Wharton though I’d be trying to add him to midfield options. Lovely player who would be a perfect Slotball fit.
