As bad as they were, I thought the blues**** gave us more problems than Newcastle.

What problems they did manage to cause came down Warnocks side, they definitley targeted him and got a bit of success doing it ,along with humping everything 50 feet in the air. Weir and Yobo sat off our front 2 so much it was comical, a couple of years back they would have at least got tight and shown a bit of fight but it just wasn't there at all. .

Watered it before as well. Refs should be able to prevent clubs from doing it when the condition are like they were last night. They weren't exactly relying on the ball gliding across the turf though, every 'pass' seemed to go 50 feet in the air.

Surely it was dealt with at the time? The ref saw everything that went on as did the linesman, whom Halsey consulted immediately. The linesman pointed at various people and Halsey then sent off Bowyer and cautioned Crouch. If they do charge Gerrard, then Shearer, Carragher, Finnan and a few other Newcastle players will also have to be. I can't see the FA making that big a deal of the situation as it certainly doesn't warrant it and it wasn't a dirty game before or after.

Wark and Kenny were more like strikers. Out of those 21 I can't remember Seagraves and McGregor getting many, if any, games at all. Great side that season after the problems of 85, 68 goals between the top 4 scorers.
