i did say the bentley signing was leftfield the only reason why i mentioned him was that before he moved to spurs he was a decent premier league player and broke into the national side. As a loan deal for a player who has his last shot of getting into capello's squad it could be good signing for us given the fact we are skint.

bentley saying he wants to leave spurs in Jan according to the mirror. Possible loan signing given rafa was supposedly interested a couple of years ago before he moved for mad money? think he could be a decent addition for the right to give dirk a bit of a rest now and again. He would be a decent enough squad addition along with van horse imo

one of the rags this morning saying that we have made enquires about van horse. I think that would be a decent signing if he is now fully fit. Probably worth a loan till the end of the season to see how it goes?

premier league proven english striker (bearing in mind possible quota's coming in) who is scoring regularly compared to a striker that has moved from club to club the last few seasons? I think carlton cole has the potential to be as good as a drogba imo

yes mate agree with that he has developed into being a very good footballer has cole. £12m would be a bargain for him and dare i say it he would be absolutely ideal for us ie would be a small fish in big pond and maybe may not be as grumpy to sit on the bench behind nando now and again than a fully established top class £20m striker

daily star has us linked with a £12m bid for carlton cole. I think he is a good player who can play upfront on his own if need be (he currently does that regularly for west ham and has a decent scoring record with them). Coupled with the fact that west ham are skint it may be a chance that rafa might be able to do a bit of business with them

beeb saying today that he has returned and is fit apparently? Also states rafa has a gentemans agreement with the spanish team management that he wont be picked for the friendly against the argies
