That's way too simplistic. The lorry that Rafa wants is not for a specific order and won't cost anything. Why can't he have it? If the guy who works for you came and said to you, 'the lorry's not for a specific order, it will improve the business across the board and it won't cost anything because i'm selling that other piece of equipment we don't need', would you still say no?

You'll get the usual 'but what if Rafa spent what he wanted to spend' response. Obviously the fact he's made a point of how much he actually spent himself, as a defence for his own position has nothing to do with it. I think the people who are being stubbourn and siding with the owners, or sitting on the fence about this, are people who pretty much don't care about Rafa and aren't bothered if he's replaced. They may as well just come out and say it, because their opinion totally goes against any reasonable logic.

so basically what comes out of all this is that you actually agree with the new owners and disagree with Rafa about the need to tie up deals quickly?! Why didn't you just say so! I'll say it again, i'll take the opinion of the likes of Jewell, Evans and Rafa over the likes of an internet warrior and two ice hockey fans. Say he was actually well backed in the summer (which I don't think he particularly was), the whole issue here is that he's not getting backed in January.
