No he only spent £20M on a striker he sold 6 months later for a loss. Bought a £17M Right Back and spent £20M on a midfielder to replace Alonso he never plays. Oh and £10.5 million on a player (Babel) he also never plays!

I agree, a trophy over 4th but with the current financial position we are in........ 4th means alot more to the club than a trophy.

If Fulham get further in a competition they had to qualify for and we got a bye until the last 16 yet they get further than us........ it proves how s*** we've been this season!! I'll ask you a question............... are you happy with this season............... with probably finishing 4th and losing 18 games in a season when only winning 24? Are you happy with rafa's tactics and team selecions?

It's relevant because this time last year we where in the Champions League Semi-Final and this year we will finish 6th at best and Fulham would have got to the final of a competition that we got a bye until the last 16 and we couldn't!!! If you think that's a good season.... good on you... you keep believing in Rafa!

God I am tired of watching this s*** under Rafa! he complains he has no money to spend (which he hasn't had a great deal of) BUT.................. and it's a very bit BUT he's got a £20M pound midfielder on the bench who's played well in the last few games he's played and he doesn't even come on..... instead he brings on El Zhar who has done exactly what in his liverpool career??????? 1-0 away might be a good result if you've got torres but if they get 1 at anfield which they look capable of especially with aguerro back and can anyone honestly see us scoring 3 without torres? especially with Rafa's negative tactics! 2 months ago pacheco was ready for a start yet he's disappeared, 2 months ago Aqua would play a big part in the final part of the season.... where has he been??? If Fulham get to the final and we don't, how far have we fallen?

I agree about NGog it's not his fault, he should be our 3rd choice striker at his age and he hasn't done a bad job when he's come in. My biggest problem is with Rafa and the fact that our 2nd striker is a 19 year old kid finding his feet in Premiership / Top Flight Football. We shouldn't be in that position!!

I never definitely said lucas... either lucas or masch... just take off 1 of the 2 holding midfielders off and go for it for once, these are weak defensively but we are hardly testing them

The annoying thing is Aqua has played really well in the last few games he's started and actually had shots on goal for a midfielder. Babel has played well the last few games he's started, yet he's on the bench again!! I really wish Rafa would get away from these 2 holding midfielders!! Rafa has lost interest in 4th place to win this competition........ it doesn't look like it from the performance on the pitch.....

None of our players look like they give a s**** tonight! It might be the carling cup of europe but it's still a semi-final of a european cup!! Get Ngog and either Masch or Lucas off for Babel and Aqua and let's go at these................. for once Rafa take the shackles off and go at a team............. PLEASE!!!

The thing is Leo for rafa it does because they are all track back and will help out defensively which is his man priority! Today we should have gone with Aqua alongside masch, Babel and Yossi instead of Maxi and Kuyt! For Rafa though Aqua, Babel and Yossi aren't defensive enough! The thing that got me today, if you are going to play counter-attack........... the one thing you need is pace...... and it's the one thing (along with many others) that Kuyt and Maxi haven't got! You need babel to play counter attacking football

Couldn't agree more - if people think Gerrard is the problem to our current plight and form then they need their heads testing!!!!! It's the fact that we have Reina, 8 defensive players and then gerrard and torres who are meant to do the whole attacking part of our play!! I'm really getting sick of this negative defensive play from our manager - the only game I've enjoyed watching of ours recently was the portsmouth game where we all attacked and didn't rely solely on Gerrard and Torres! The biggest worry for me at the ends of the season is......... Torres leaving and not because we will finish outside of the top 4, but because of the s*** negative tactics we always use leaving him totally isolated and 99% of the time chasing lost causes. Could you imagine Torres @ United, Chelsea or Arsenal............. he would score 40 a season easily!!!

What a top idea then we could get rid of the player who has got us out of the s**** so many times and rafa can buy a £20M midfielder to sit on the bench or a £20M striker to be sold within 6 months and another £10M defensive player! Get a f***in life gerrard is the least of our problems!!!

but with Aqua i'm not just on about this game - he's been fit for 4 months now - yet how many games has he started? Maxi has done a job - agree a Rafa defensive winger job - he's contributed hardly anything going forward!

To start with that was never a penalty and let united back into the game! However that was one of the most gutless performances I have seen from a Liverpool team against United who are trying to overtake our now JOINT record of 18 league titles. There was no fight, no commitment and no adventure to actually win the game. We played for a draw once again - I think we had 2 shots on target - the goal and benayouns header after torres's poor effort! I've finally had enough of Rafa - it's time to go - thanks for 2005 but move over your negative tactics are stifling the players! You promised 4th, which I personally think you won't deliver! Against Portsmouth we played without Lucas and Kuyt yet played the best ATTACKING football we've played all season, but today once again Rafa's favourites are back in and they done absolutely nothing! He spent £20M on aqua who was brililant against portsmouth yet Rafa never plays him! He was Rafa's record signing in the summer but he won't play him for whatever reason. According to Rafa it's because you can't put a new player into team that is loosing with no confidence yet he starts Maxi in every game he is eligible for and he's been shocking yet still starts every game! His decisions at the moment really are defying logic!

Kuyt The Greek Carra

Great fighting performance tonight! Kuyt's best performance of the season... although he missed a couple of easy chances...... held his nerve well with the pens and his overall performance was much better. A special mention has to go to the Greek who once again was a man-mountain at the back great performance! Thought NGog done really well when he come on as well. The fight was there tonight more than I've seen it over the last couple of months! Well done Red Men!
