Yes and I can also recall what happened when Hamann came on and Gerrard stayed in the middle and won us the game!! What does that say about Alonso?? (Note: not saying anything bad about Alonso). Gerrard won us that game from the MIDDLE of the park with the help of Hamann!! The question might be..... did Rafa let Didi go too soon?

So Zenden has his first good game against a first div side and he's the answer to the midlle fo the park?? I'll just ask everyone this............ In our 2 most important games, the Champions League Final and the FA Cup, who was it that won us those games?? The answer is Gerrard and where did he play in those 2 games?? and the answer is Centre Midfield!!!!!!!!! The poll at 30-10 in favour of Gerrard in the middle answers my question nicely! Andy - I'm still waiting to see who YOU think is better in the middle Gerrard of Zenden, so far you've been a politician and avoided the question but I'd like to know who YOU would rather in the middle?

Andy what hit have we taken apart from the fact that Gerrard is out on the right of midfield?? the only thing that we have learnt is that we can't score away from home in open play in over 5 games!!!

I haven't attended the training sessions either and neither have 98% of football fans but all of them would put Stevie in the middle ahead of Zenden and the right winger that cost £6.8m on the right!!!!

but surely every year you should see the team moving forward?? So far this year I haven't seen the team moving forward one bit!!! If anything and it pains me to say it as I Love Rafa but Love LFC more bu we will finish further off the pace this year than last!! how is that improvement???

he earnt his player of the year playing mostly central (1st half of the season) before Momo started playing more!! Then Momo came in and we had Xabi and Momo in the Centre which was good enough to let Gerrard play out wide but Zended isn't a better CM than Gerrard full stop... so you play Gerrard in the middle!!!

I am not saying rafa is not the right man for the job.... nor would I put my head in the sand and say that Rafa doesn't make mistakes just like Shankly, Paisely, Fagan and Dalglish did - but because they made mistakes I didn't say they weren't the right men for the job.....but Andy you still haven't said that you think Zenden is better in the middle than Gerrard!!!
