I'm critical because he took our best player off the pitch and left on the other "defensive midfielder" (lucas) who was contributing absolutely nothing to the game!!!!

Mascherano in plaster would have been more effective than lucas on the pitch today! but for some reason rafa has got this bee in his bonnet at the moment that lucas will start and finish every match! The press and a lot of the fans said lucas wasn't good enough at the beginning of the season and rafa (a bit like GH at the end of his reign) for me is playing Lucas just to try and prove a point, this is the reason we haven't seen as much of aqua and it might cost rafa his job!

because that can be the only reason Rafa took him off!! He was by far our best player and if it was a tactical decision to take him off and leave the once again ineffective lucas on the pitch then I give up with Rafa!! Today we started well got our noses in-front (should have had a pen as well) but the way we came out 2nd half can only be because of the manager! We sat back trying to hang on to a 1-0 lead once again! I'm getting tired of this defensive approach from Rafa, at the end of last season he seemed to let the players off the leash and attach teams. This season he's gone back to his defensive mentality. Last season in the 4-4, even with 30 seconds left I thought we might win the game, as soon as Arsenal got the 2nd I wasn't expecting us to win at all! How many shots on target in the 2nd half from us - 2 if we where lucky - simply not good enough!

Really glad we are 1-0 up but i wish we wouldn't sit so deep after we've scored! Apart from Insua's header we haven't had another chance. Auerlio and Kuyt are shocking. Take them off and get aquilani and yossi on to give some attacking threat at least!

The thing that has annoyed me today more than anything was once we went down to 2-1, Rafa basically conceded the game in favour of keeping players for the game against Lyon! You never conceded the game, you play it 1 game at a time, something Rafa constantly goes on about but very rarely put's into practice!

Have to agree - apart from Skrtel first half who was great defensively and carra 2nd half for looking like the only player who gave a s***! The other 9 starting players should hold their heads in shame!

Haven't seen this posted yet, but from the official: Liverpool FC today confirmed reserves manager Gary Ablett will leave the club at the end of this month. Ablett will depart after the International Cor Groenewegen Tournament in Holland this weekend. The former Reds defender took up the position in 2006 after moving from Merseyside rivals Everton. Everyone at Liverpool would like to thank Gary for his hard work over the past three years and wish him all the best for the future. Anybody know why he's leaving? I know the ressies haven't done great this season but he won the league last year!

Thought we should have stuck with an un-changed team from the one that destroyed real madrid 4-0. Obviously if xabi is injured that change needed to be made, but thought babel should have been given a game today after tuesday! Gutted xabi isn't playing, we just don't control the midfield the same without him - time for lucas to finally step up and prove he's actually got something to offer us! I bet spearing is gutted after coming on the other night, putting in a good performance and doesn't even make the bench today!

No we don't and as I've said I'm elated with the win, but the performance against a team that has won only 2 games in 16 in the prem was poor - don't forget we had to come from behind twice against a team totally shot of confidence and ideas and their best player apart from crouch was on the bench until half time (Kranjcar).

Of course I'm clueless, silly me, james was pulling saves out of his a*** all night and we totally battered them - we totally battered the worst team in the prem and didn't need 2 minutes of injury time to win the game - silly me!!

Yes I am disappointed, disappointed with the fact that once again against a s*** team that has only won 2 games in 16 in the prem, that we struggled and had to wait for torres in the 92nd minute to score the winner. We should have never been in that position and the reason we where was because of rafa's tactics and team selection!!! I am elated that we won, but disappointed that we had to wait until 2 mins of injury time to win the game against possibly the worst team in the prem!!!! I honestly can't believe anyone is happy with that performance if we are going to win the title, happy with the result - yes!! happy with the performance and team selection NO!!

What chances apart from masch's shot before we went 1-0 down made you think we could win the game because I can't think of any!!

But that's what annoys me - it was as if he was saying I can win the game without torres and watch me prove it - it wasn't until we went 2-1 down with 10 mins to go he realised he couldn't. Stop messing with the team and the club to prove a point., get the game won, then take them off!!!

it's as if at the moment he's trying to prove a point - I'll do exactly the opposite of what everyone says just to prove a point. Win the league then you can prove your point but don't mess round with the side to prove it!! Until alonso, kuyt and torres come on we never looked like scoring (apart from babel's keane like miss )

We got out of jail there - Rafa start with your best 11 then take them off once you've got the game won!! We haven't got a game until the 22nd!
