I know it's Championship Manager-style but what about Toni Kroos for 25 mill? Bayern have got Goetze, Thiago, Martinez and a lot of other midfielders. I know it is unrealistic but we can dream:-)

I agree with you but I struggle to name potential targets. Ivan Rakitic of Sevilla is one but haven't seen him in action. Another is Grenier from Lyon although he may not be ready for PL yet. I would like to hear who you lads think we should go for as ATM. Bernard surely is a wide player

I am struggling to name many realistic targets (20-24 years) who would strengthen our first XI. My names are: - Lamela - Muriel - Jovetic - André Ayew - Griezmann (unsure if he is an upgrade) Any suggestions for midfieldplayers, CD and LB?

My point is that we, IMO, will not even be at touching distance from 4th if we go for just 2 of those 4 in the majority of our games. And yes Hendo has played LM at times but he, SG and Lucas have been very narrow when he has been at LM.

With only 2 of those 4 on the pitch at the same time, without strengthening that area, we will not be better placed than 7th come May 2014. I like BR a lot but I think he is naive when picking the right line-up at times.

One signing we will definitly make IMO is a another midfielder (ATM/CM). After losing out on Mickey we are short in that area. I hope BR has seen as most of us fans than his midfield were overrun at times last season (Southampton away and Spurs home before Allen was brought on). Lucas, SG, Allen and Henderson are 4 players for 3 positiions. We need another but who? Strootman is a good player but I doubt we are in for him. Any suggestions?

Really good player. Although a box to box player, can also play as an ATM or DM. Really good left foot and great stamina

I think Clement Grenier, 22, from Lyon will suit us better than Eriksen. IMO he is more of a goaltreath and an excellent player. Out of contract in 2014... Only concern, as with Eriksen and lots of other no 10's, is defensive contribution. Lucas and SG need help

I would like Clement Grenier from Lyon. Allready very good, and will become one of the best AMF players in Europa in the next 2-3 seasons. Out of contract in 2014. We might get him for 15 mill if not Wenger snap him up

Anyone seen Grenier from Lyon in action? We were linked to him in May I think? Could be an option at attacking midfield. If we buy one I hope has good workrate and can offer something both in attack and defence, especially if Lucas/SG continues in CM

I agree with you. Really disapointed. Although another type of player, I think André Ayew of Marseille could be an interesting player. Lots of skill, good scoring rate, and quite hardworking as well I think. If I remember right he was moved back to midfield (attacking MF), after playing wide left and striker most of the time. He has stated recently that he has a soft spot for us and would love to play in the PL. Valued at 12-15 mill pound by Marseille. Thoughts?

Why do so many of the posters here writie songs and so on about Mkhitaryan? This means only one thing - we are not getting him... :-( I know I am pesimistic but I'll be surprised if he is one of ours when we kick off i August.
