to be fair, you're not mailing a large organisation with a large customer services team, it's just some fellas who are doing their best in their spare time.

How official do you want? The TO manager has told an SoS management committee member that fancards can no longer be bought. As I said, try to get one. She also told him the current cards would be gone from the end of the coming season. If you can't buy a new fancard, how does someone get a ticket without paying £29 per year? My mate reckons the pools he does pays out about 20p for every pound he takes. I think he gets 10% commission. So For every £1 my mate brings in (I think he does about £20-£25 per week), the club make 70p. So they make about £14 per week off him at £20 sales - so that's £728 per year, more than a season ticket. And that's before he buys 1 ticket. Do you not think that's good business for the club? They effectively get £80 per match for my mates ticket as he (and I'm sure most other agents) do this just for the chance of getting a ticket. How do you mean a "starting point"? I think SoS are clear - they want G&H out, there is no room for movement on this. It doesn't mean you can't speak to them though. There's not a great deal to say about what was said. What happened last season has been posted and is a matter of record. I don't believe at this time G&H are making any effort to speak to SoS - just because the Union has someone who's job it is to liaise with the club, does not mean the club are interested in speaking to the Union. I don't expect to get any view from the owners about the membership scheme. What do you think they will say "yes, we're shafting you, thanks for helping us screw you and your club that little bit more".

The new membership scheme is a replacement for the "card for life" fancard. Try and buy a new fan card, you can't. They will become obsolete at the end of this coming season. So if you have a young lad who you want to take to his 1st match, you now have to buy him a £20 membership for a chance of a ticket. In recent years the prices for CL quals and League Cup matches have been affordable so people who can't normally take their kids can afford to. This scheme prices them all out for a start. These pools tickets are mostly bought by people who don't know what the internet is. My mate has done them for years as it's the only way he was sure of getting a ticket. He's never used a computer in his life and pretty much none of the people who buy from him have either. So this is not a simple replacement - and also is not the point. If these people continue to do their part of the bargain and sell their pools tickets (through the summer too, not just the season), do the club not have a duty to keep their part of the bargain? Finally, that last point is just plain untrue. SoS have had talks with the owners (or at least Hick Jnr). There is a mandate from those who attended one of the gatherings at the Olympia that the Union should speak to the club at ALL levels. There is a Club Liaison Office on the management committee. It won't alter the Unions view that G&H are bad for our club, but what could be achieved by refusing to talk to them?

my mate who knows a few at fulham (and told me about the finnan deal all those years ago way before we were linked), reckons we did a deal with niemi about 2 weeks ago.
-
a little bump for those who may have missed this while in milan. please keep voting.
-
Is this just what you are reading into it Paul, or do you know something?
-
did our deal not involve an option after the 18 months? if it did, surely we can stall until the option expires?
-
dunno when it is - i just know i was told jan! maybe as woodsyla says it'll be 16th providing neither team has a replay.

one of the lads at the match yesterday said we're playing the game in January.

The thing with these TV stations is they work within guidlines, but they are essentially just a bunch of media whoppers. If you want reference for that, why did Roy Keane leave Man U? Because he went on MUTV and said all his team mates were s***. Not exaqctly great for the club, but nobody on the TV station even thought to flag it or stop it going out.
-
what else have LFC TV got to talk about? It's geared around the news of the day. Nothing else has happened outside of games and this. LFC tv has hours and hours of TV to fill and nothing to fill it with. SSN is pretty much the same, but at least has the distractions of other clubs and sports, so has been able to pretty much run this story as a filler for a week. but it's never been more than a filler if there was more to it, SSN would be making a meal of it. as it happens, steve harmisons fitness has been of more interest.

I have not seen one quote from Hicks saying that - if I'm wrong send me the link. So what you're saying is you believe a rumour that said so?
-
what are these "potentially disasterous events". it's all rumour and rubbish at no point habve G&H suggested Rafa's position is untenable. for gods sake, this story has been running for almost a week and it's not even been the main story on SSN once - that's how much credit the media are giving this. it's a something and nothing story being blown up by all those with nothing better to do with their time.
-
Only by the lunacy around the forums. This whole thing is massively out of control with everyone winding each other up. take a step back, cut out the speculation and see what has happened. 1. rafa had a cry 2. the americans said shut the f*ck up 3. rafa has another cry 4. the yanks remind him again who's in charge with another statement 5. rafa backs down in the echo because he knows it's a fight he can't win. yet in between stories abound, with people supposedly in the know about what's going on. Nobody in the UK with the possible exception of rick parry (and i doubt he has) really knows what G&H are planning to do. In a months time this will all be forgetten about by all except the people who let forums rule their lives.

personally i think finnan is looking a bit leggy and carra can get away with covering finnan, but now agger is out he can't get away with covering finnan and sami too.
-
i would imagine it is more likely seville are being as difficult for chelsea to deal with this year as they were for us last year.

there's a new picture here http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverp...64375-19520801/
-
I think the images we're seeing are the 76k, but we'll only apply to use 60k of them for now.
-
I'm sure it will be a local tv comapnay providing the picture and setanta of little of no control over the dimensions of the pictures. i'm certain it will be in widescreen when they show prem games.

I think it's pretty fair to assume, last summer we'd have had to sell cisse and bellamy before we bought torres and for me there is the difference ... we are able to buy who we want and not be desperate to take the 1st offer for a player we don't want just because we're desperate for cash.

after babel. he'd already talked about those two .. in fact listening to him, i think he was expecting deals to be done, he was in california, so he was just out of bed.
-
and what was he saying?
-
The echo has him down as a 23 year old (which i have to say surprised me) - so no more for the future than torres or tevez.
