That was bizarre. If Kelleher was starting all the games in the League Cup I’d understand but didn’t Alisson start the second leg vs Spurs? So if it was meant to be a send off for Kelleher save it for when we’ve won the league. Incidentally, should probably have brought Kelleher on for the shootout vs PSG. He’s real good with those.

That’s a bit silly though. Yes Elliott and Chiesa in that game had absolute stinkers but it was a completely awful and imbalanced side that shouldn’t have been picked with (not away from home against a team up for it). Besides which, at least in the case of Elliott, he’s turned up for us enough times in the past and recent past to trust him to at least get a couple of games here and there.

His body didn't really change later, and he did just fine after leaving LFC - and maybe he was never going to make it at LFC, but I do get the impression he'd have done far better under Klopp (stating the obvious there...). Rodgers didn't know how to use him at all. Luis Alberto another one - there were a few that went on to have decent careers elsewhere. As you said, there were more misses back then too for sure, but with hindsight, a few of the 'fails' were good players that the manager just didn't know how to utilise to full effect because he wanted to play with his old chums from when he worked at Swansea or some crap.

Lambert doesn’t strike me as a Transfer Committee signing. Klopp has definitely helped turn some of his signings into superstars, but it would be revisionism to say that it’s all down to Klopp too. The TC signed some good players that Brendan had absolutely not a clue how to work with, Aspas being the prime example but there were a few others like that. That the success rate on the whole has gone up is down to Klopp for sure.
