I only managed to see an hour's highlights of the game today but, from what I saw, Pennant was nowhere near as bad as people are saying. Obviously the 30 minutes cut out from the highlights were the parts where he was totally gash. I noticed a couple of good crosses, a snapshot that could have gone in and a few crap corners. Beyond that, I didn't notice anyone that stood at as much better (besides Reina). I'm obviously missing something here. Or was it entirely predictable that once the nation got their say, and Stevie G was moved to the middle, that we became a team that was seen to be let down by their wingers?
