Then my vote for Bennett's incompetence stands. If that is his position for all games then he needs to be sacked. With laws dependant upon "official's judgement", you'd think it was imperative for a referee to convey his thoughts to the players to allow for a free-flowing game. Sack the fecker.

This will be the referees defence of the second yellow Feck me! What a cop-out! If that's teh case then referees should be obliged to give a warning along the lines of "that's 4 times you've done that, do it again and you're booked". With every referee different, how is a player supposed to know where the line is drawn? If the player chooses to ignore the referee's warning then feel free to pour scorn on that player for his indiscipline, on his captain for his lack of control of the player etc. If the ref doesn't give that warning then he can't justify the card.

I was a little too wrapped up in the emotion of the game to notice so I'll have to ask here. Did Bennett ever speak to Mascherano (as in "keep talking and you'll get another card")? From what I can remember, he said nothing to him between the bookings. If he did, then fair enough, the warning was made. If he didn't then he can't complain that it was a result of the aggregation of dissent.

Mascherano shouldn't have been booked initially. He certainly shouldn't have been sent off. He should be punished by teh club for his reaction to the sending off. Ferdinand shouldn't have been booked either. The ref is crap and looked like he was trying to prove a point.

I had five minutes to spare so I played around with the outstanding fixtures. If we won all of our games PLUS Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton won all of theirs BUT the games amongst those four being draws THEN the final table would be 1. Utd on 87 2. Chelsea on 85 3. Liverpool on 83 4. Arsenal on 82 5. Everton on 76 Not beyond the realms of possibility for us to overhaul Arsenal.

You never know, he may be planning to swill Hicks with some of his mate's wine.

Given that one of Hick's companies sells itself as "Connecting Brands To Fans, from the inside out", I would imagine that he would want to remain connected to Liverpool Football Club in some way. Additionally, if he thinks that DIC have the nouse to make a lot of money from the club, why wouldn't he insist on keeping a share for himself? I reckon he'll be around for a while yet, not necessarily with 50% of the club, but with some significant shareholding.

Why are people throwing punches and ale? The answer I'm hearing is that they want Junior to run home to Dad and tell him to sell up and move on. Why do people want him to sell up and move on?
