I grew up thinking that the papers were behind the London clubs (and Man U) and the 'Liverpool Way' was to defy the media support and just win things. The press made it easy for us to wash our dirty linen in private; they were too wrapped up in the glamour clubs (Chelsea, Man U, plus ca change).

Put your message out there, let people respond in their own time. Don't goad them if they don't fit into your timetable, otherwise you end up looking like a gobs***e.

if Parry went I would only be bothered that this strengthened Hicks' position (i.e. if Parry was replaced by a Hicks-stooge). Otherwise, he can go as the accusations of ineptitude do seem to be on-the-mark. -
