    I like Robbie slater. he talks a lot of sense. I like the way the studio team are very obvious in their support for particular teams (Slater is a red) but they aren't out-and-out blinkered.

    I meant that out of the possible scenarios, the one that would bother me the least was seeing Giggs and Scholes retiring with European Cup Winners medals. I think they have been decent pros and I would rather see them go out celebrating than to see Drogba and Terry dancing round in joy.

    How did you work that out? Winning both is a bit special and I would hope neither club does that. That means Utd would have to win one of them, and I would prefer they were 2 (unlikely) wins away from our European record than one (likely) win away from our domestic record.

    Looking at it that way, then of course not. It never occurred to me that the 'honour' part of the 'lap of honour' was the players honouring the fans.

    I'm sure our club was a happy signatory to the TV deals that dictated the revised kick-off times. There are still plenty of local football teams that you can go to support whose fixtures are not messed around with in the same way.

    that all newly promoted teams to the top league will be relegated at the end of the season? I reckon there is a good chance that they all go down again. West Brom, Stoke and one of Hull, Bristol City, Crystal Palace or Watford. Don't really strike me as premiership survivors.
