We’ve bought 2 really good midfielders who still have their peaks ahead of them, and exited a few that had seen better days. I don’t see that as an unmitigated disaster. I’m still hopeful because I think we’re doing the right things. If we make other signings, with at least one at a similar level (or clear potential to reach that level over the next season) then I’d call it a decent window. There is still time.

I wonder if the prospect of Hendo leaving triggered the offer for Fab. I’d be surprised if we let both of them go and maybe buying clubs think that too.
