A good thing is that we aren't bowing to last year's conquerers. We know we can match and better them on the field of play.

FWIW I've never seen a New Balance store before but they are opening a big one up in Warrington soon. I'm not sure if retailing directly is a new thing for them or this is part of a change in strategy for the UK market.

Head above the parapet here but I think this summer will be more akin to when Rushie went to juve, than anything else. We have lost Suarez but it's another season in for Brendan and the core players are more experienced in working with him, and vice versa

Yep. Henchoz, Didi, Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge etc all came from teams worse than us and all made us better. Right now there are 90 teams in the leagues worse than us, by position, so logic should dictate we only buy Man City players.
