Of course it did, results dictate everything. He had lost some of the fans and the Yanks seized their moment. If we had finished top 4 I'm sure Rafa would still be here.

Same old, same old. Poor performance all round but Kuyt in particular has been terrible - lost the ball on nearly every occasion. City's goal was a shocker, Gerard stud there looking at Milner and two of our players, one of which was Lucas, didn't bother their backside's to track Barry. Hodgson needs to give them a b******ing during the interval.

Having Dalglish are part of the selection process is vital irrespective of whether he's been used to appease the fans or not. I trust Kenny, I believe he's a man of integrity and would choose a candidate based on his ability and not some manageable yes man. I would also suspect that if Kenny's recommendation were dismissed out of hand without good reason, he'd distance himself from the situation exposing the owners objectives.

Yep, it's good news and pretty obvious it was gonna happen. I'm not too sure why people struggled with the idea that this would be the case.

True, I don't remember many saying we overachieved at the time. -
Something I think we can all agree on is that we've massively underperformed this season. There has to be a collective responsibility from all involved, from the owners through to the players. The big issue seems to be who to apportion most of the blame to - sadly for me, it has to be Rafa and the players. Finishing 7th, even allowing for off field problems and injuries is a poor return.

It may have had an effect but there's no excusing some of the performances, let alone results we've witnessed this season - sounds more like a blame shifting excercise to me. Incidentally, Agger said the ownership issue was no excuse for the season we've had.
