There apeared to be a scuffle after a wild challenge on an Inter player by Marchena I think. Then a valencia sub runs on to the pitch and lands a right hook on one of the italians. cue benny hill type chase scene and an everlasting scuffle. Surely that Valencia player will be hit very hard by UEFA. Not just for landing the punch but he wasnt even supposed to be on the pitch!!!!!

Barcelona need some serious self-criticism at the moment - instad of know-it-alls coming on here to criticise our team. Barça are out.

We were a better team yesterday than the probable champions. Should that Arsenal team ever click one day surely they will play most teams off the park.....like they normally do to us, yet there they are scrabbling with us for 3rd. Chelsea I thought were nailed on but they can't keep up with the pace they set themselves last year. Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes were not allowed to take part in the game yesterday - same goes for Ronaldhinho & Messi etc Why aren't we champions? The only thing I would like to see next year is a Mickey Owen/20yr old Fowler type. I miss the days of refreshing the Ceefax page to see their name pop up again time after time - knocking the ball in when we maybe didnt even deserve it. Feck knows.

I have no problem with Momo at all and we need him in the squad. However, Mascherano is undoubtedly a better footballer and can also break up the play. I expect him to be the regular for this job soon with Momo as back up. We will be however very lucky to have them both! I may have been harsh on the lad yesterday, but against Man Utd of all teams you cant afford to keep giving the ball away or do unexplainable keep-uppy things......

It was a penalty following the laws of the game / the ref was watching and the defender was dumb enough to do it anyway. It was not a dive, it was Gerrard taking advantage of a dumb player and also the rules of the game. What's the problem?

I don't understand how anyone can criticise Kuyt after that superb performance. His hold up/link up play was superb. MOTM on spanish TV so at least they agree with me. Doesnt matter if he doesnt score when others players knock 4 past them...

I teach Robbie's niece so I get a few titbits (and signed stuff ) after each visit back to the UK There is interest from the US. he's thinking about it but his wife doesn't fancy the uprooting and moving the kids away from the family. In his own words 'I've been rubbish' at Liverpool since returning and he knows his time is up in the summer. One of my favourite players........it does seem definite now we will be saying goodbye i couple of months.

last ten years Makelele, gattuso, Vieira, Keane & hamman of those Makalele and Vieira have proved themselves in different leagues. Makalele, Viera & one of the others...... p.s. How the feck do you spell Vieira?
