I watched the match with a group of Catalan barca fans here in Dublin. I had heard that Eto'o wasn't that popular but I was surprised to hear them say it. I think that they rate him on the pitch but they aren't happy with his media comments and selfishness. Seems to be he has the hump becuase Ronnie gets most of the praise. I think he would be an amazing signing for us. I reckon if it's in the £20-25m bracket and we have the cash then we should go for it. I think Eto'o is more likely than David Villa for some reason.

He has improved recently but I still think that he cuts infield too often rather than taking his man on the outside. He also has a short fuse and can be wound up by opposition far too easily.

From the high camera angle it definitely looked like 442 to me, especially when Barca had the ball.

What about Aurelio? I reckon he's a better bet for left mid than Bolo. Plus he can track back and give Riise a hand with Messi if he needs it.

Thought that Olegeur was very average against Valencia the other night. Think that we can exploit that weakness tomorrow. Edmilson was poor too but I don't think that he'll play, it'll probably be back to Marquez and Puyol at the back.

Gragham Hunter was on Newstalk 106fm saying talking about Barca. He said that he reckons Ronaldinho is unhappy and 60-40 to leave this summer, with Milan a likely destination. Could we entice him to Liverpool? Deco also likely to leave. C Ronaldo definitely going to leave Utd for Spain with Barca a more likely destination then Real.

I think he'll leave. Hope he does and goes to Madrid. Don't see where he fits in at Barca unless one of Ronaldinhio or Messi leaves.

Ken Early on newstalk reckons that Pepe is no better than Carson. I don't agree. Don't think that Carson sweeps and commands the area the same as Pepe. Plus he's not as physical a presence.

What about Sergio Aguero at Atletico Madrid? He scored again tonight and has 6 for the season so far. I think that Rafa was interested in him before he went there. I don't know if he would be a prolific striker but he might be an ace in the hole type, like Aimar to unlock a stubborn or packed defence.

On the Guardians football weekly podcast yesterday, Marcela Mora y Araujo said that Mascherano rang her to saw that he is training with us. She said that he sounds much happier now after wondering what he was doing wrong as West Ham.

They've taken 6 from 2 games. Before that it was 5 points from 4 games. Terry will be back soon which should stabalise them.
