  1. Was a bad enough challenge. Justice done - it should have been his second yellow s the red was due in a roundabout way. "Stand up for the champions"? I didn't realise Liverpool were playing.
  2. Yeah but if and when two or three spanish team beat two or three English teams in the CL next year, or whenever then it'll be all talk about La Liga being the strongest etc etc... I suspect that's the point you're making cobs?
  3. Surely the most offensive thing about that add, is the fact that we are expected to buy into the idea of Cantona posturing as some sort of footballing guerilla speaking out about the true virtues of the game and denouncing the cynical thing it has become, all the while ignoring his own record and trousering a big sweaty wad from Nike.
  4. Did you actually hear the argument I was having...??!!! Uncanny. Spot on!! :D
  5. www.independentfootballreview.com Here's an opportunity to try help influence how football is viewed by staturory authorities in Europe. Worth an hour or two of anybody's time
  6. Thanks chaps, he's been dismissed from a position of comfort. 1983, finishing 18th in Division 2 with an average crowd of 12.672. Snigger!!
  7. Thanks to Blairs policy of 'education, education, education' we are starting to see a real impact in the level of English like performances from the Premiership's foreign imports. They take the English methods to heart and as a result run ragged over their racist, uncouth Spanish counterparts. I declare today National England day. A proud day for all Englishman across the globe and a good day to be English.
  8. Was wondering about our attendance before we became successful under Shanks. Anywhere reliable I could find out about how many would regularly go to Anfield before we really took off? Am having a tiresome argument woth a Chelsea fan who reckons they are in the all time top average 5 attendances which gives them grounds as a 'big club' despite Roman's money. The desperate validation-seeking mockney vvanker. He reckons Liverpool were as well supported as West Ham, though I suspect on past record he's just making up stats.
  9. I don't think you have to be the big bad wolf to say with reasonable fairness that Harry needs to improve his end product before he deserves ALL the praise he's been getting. On another note, can't believe Carbone was in the Valencia squad the other night. What is he now? 41?
  10. LOL! There isn't a unit of time atomically tiny enough to describe how small time you clearly are.
  11. :D Jesus wept what a stupid moron efcmagic is. I mean that sincerely and not offensively. He's clearly stupid by any standards and by extension it is reasonhable to say he's a moron.
  12. Thats it lads, get it all out.... Yeah we were s*** tonight, whatchyagonnado. It's a two legger and we picked quite an attacking team. Luis and Harry were muck tonight and though Hamann did nothing wrong, Sissoko was doing well. Sami will be embarrassed about the goal and our critics will (with some justification) point out the desperate service the front two got (we have to play it to Fowler's feet or hit Morientes in an area he can lay it off to him). But we'll still win the second leg and go through. And if we don't, THEN let's have a right old fashioned blood letting.
  13. Yeah thanks Sean. We got sorted at the weekend. Most of the boys are going through Stansted with Ryanair. I have alternative arrangements but it's all good.
  14. Wasn't Smith supposed to have said one time that "I'd rather break my leg than join Manchester United"?
  15. Even though he's West 'Am, whenever I think of Cobs I think of
  16. They'll not be dazzled by the aura Chelsea have acquired in this League and they won't be scared to annoy their mates by beating them, as seems to be the case with some of Chelsea's opponents....
  17. Barca will show them up. You heard it here first.

    Harry Kewell

I absolutely 100% agree Think the canonisation of Kewell recently has been as overboard as the criticism of him was last year. He still needs to improve end product and whats more have defenders scared of challenging him for fear of him leaving them.

  20. Really? Might have to dust off my old subscription. I was hoping Dave or someone would say that YNWA are currently planning a WAP version but that's the next best news.
  21. Find myself using my mobile phone more and more for email and stuff. Any of the decent football (or sport) have GPRS or WAP versions? I could use the diversion occasionally.
  22. Think there's a fair chance Shay Given will go to Barcelona in the Summer. Would solve a problem for them. Yer man was comical last night..

  24. Sean, the DFB will continue to rotate games after the WC. Looking at it logically, the game is 2 weeks before Oktoberfest begins. This may or may not be a factor but my guess is that they will have it somewhere up North - as they will probably play in Munich/Leipzig/Stuttgart versus the Czechies and Slovies. Logistical/Geographic reasons even though the largest Irish contingent is in Munich. If I had to say, I would pick Dortmund or Gelsenkirchen. It's a Saturday game, they know they'll fill it. It's pot luck so I would hold off until you get more news. If you come across dirt cheap flights with Air Berlin, German Wings, Ryanair etc book it, otherwise you're already talking big bucks. The good news is that Aer Lingus are now gone Ryanair. I will quote someone else about his efforts with AL yesterday after he heard the draw: As soon as the fixtures were announced yesterday I went in and tried to book a flight to Munich, all all flights to Munich were ?219 from Thursday to Saturday and a total of ?495. So I tried every other German city,Berlin,Frankfurt and Dusseldorf and all return flights to these cities were either ?475 or ?495 return travelling from Thursday to Sunday. There not stupid Aer Lingus, as the venue hadn't been announced they decided to cover themselves and put the price up to all German cities. What I couldn't believe was the speed in which the prices changed on their website. They probably sent a guy to Frankfurt to dial in to their mainframe and change the prices as soon as the fixtures were announced.
