  1. I can only go by what I saw with my own eyes, whenever we had the ball Lucas would run sideways from the ball carrier into space, space that the ball would not be passed to. When we lost the ball he would be back in his correct position, closing and harrying. We effectively had 10 men in possession, 11 without it.
  2. Just not arguing about the minutae of what I posted would be a start, hugs can come later.
  3. So we agree
  4. Right, now you have edited it I'll reply again. I'm defending Henderson who is being accused of hiding, by pointing out that Lucas, who is a great player now, did as well. So Henderson is not by definition, s*** because he hides. He's just young. just to nail this my reply was to this "As a central midfielder, the one thing you absolutely must do all the time is show for the ball and not hide, which is one of Henderson's worst traits. "
  5. I didn't say it was an example of him being a bad player I said it was an example of him 'hiding', which it is.
  6. tomayto tomahto, he ran into 'space' when we had the ball but it was never space that a pass could be made to. Now he shows for the ball, it's made a huge difference to his game. Put it this way, if he'd played the way he played when he replaced Gerrard against Everton every week nobody would have complained, but he didn't, maybe he was overawed by playing with Gerrard and Alonso and didn't feel able to put his stamp on a game. Henderson is a similar age to Lucas when he arrived, not saying he will develop in the same way as Lucas was a top top talent but 'showing' and demanding the ball come with age in most cases.
  7. In Barca's defence (geddit) a) that goal was pretty academic, they had 1 minute to score one goal b) Torres was only where he was because he conceded possession sloppily and hadn't tracked back Overall I felt Barca were fairly toothless and for some reason the wide players refused to attack the full backs. almost every time it came back centrally, Chelsea lapped it up. On the occassions they did get it wide they scored a couple of goals (one disallowed).

  10. That's what I was thinking, he's sober gets a drunk girl back to a room and lets his mate have a go. Surely he's an accessory. Maybe he can be charged with that separately? What taxi drivers? Perhaps he he knew what he had done was very wrong? I'm still not quite sure how the phone videoing fits in, was that evidence?
  11. For me that makes things even more unpleasant, pissed up lads do daft things they regret, sober lads taking a semi conscious girl back to a hotel room. Nasty.
  12. Lucas hid for 3 years, just saying like ...
  13. f*** off, there are no positive points to Chelsea winning the CL. None whatsoever. Postivies from tonight. That c*** has probably cost them a chance at the trophy, they will have no defence for the final. They are playing either the best team in Europe or Bayern Munich at home. Either way it's a f***ing massive ask when you have Bosingwa playing centre back.
  14. You know what, if that happened it wouldn't have been such a bad season. Two cups, Chelsea out of the CL and United not winning a thing.
  15. It's becoming increasingly difficuly given what a bunch of c**** they are but I support them.
  16. Maybe she was an active participant during McDonald but slumped on the bed when Evans started. Only reason I can think for the verdict. Agreed, but 5 years in prison. Without all the facts you really can see both sides.
  17. What was wrong with that. A lot of good if obvious points.
  18. Thats hard to beat

  20. That was the greatest 'comeuppance' moment in history. Giving it all that and yet 'modestly' pointing at Walcott. 'Don't look at me dancing, I may have scored the goal but I'm nothing without him, he's the guy ..... looking at me again now, look at the dancing' 30 seconds later http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWWSHq0S4EQ

  24. It was one of the best Chelsea performances in the last few years. They were very very lucky but you have to be to beat this Barca team. Perfectly set up for the second leg, Chelsea will score but Barca could easily get 3 or 4. Is Pique back? He was a massive miss.
  25. I don't see how anyone can say it's bad management to start Carra in a derby. He loves a battle and the blues aren't exactly blessed with pace up top.
