This is odd, but I'm going to defend Simon from Leo here. I watched that the first time and thought the same but on the slow mo the ball goes through the defenders legs, yes it takes a small deflection but I don't think Mignolet saw the shot, he just saw the ball coming through the defenders legs and threw a hand at it, had he seen the ball earlier I reckon he would have got it out of the danger zone. Nice to be talking about goalkeeping errors that didn't cost any points though !! I am happy with Mignolet as a replacement for Reina, he has his flaws but the way we are playing at the moment we need a good shot stopper and he is certainly that. His concentration levels are excellent.
