Nah, the judge has just said it would be a wrong to deny them the opportunity because RBS did not appear to have distanced themselves from the sale. Fair do's to be honest. What H&G have to prove is that RBS obstructed their efforts to refinance. I don't reckon they will be able to prove that and as they owed RBS hundreds of millions of pounds RBS had a vested interest in getting it sorted. I hope they carry on burning what little cash they have left on lawsuits to be honest.

So what is your people friendly option? Can't wait to hear an alternative viable solution to evicting 5 houses in a derelict street. I was referring the cost to the club as chicken feed, financially. We are talking about peoples homes in a derelict street, in an area that is in urgent need of regeneration. What is the alternative? If I'd said that then you may have a point. I said they couldn't say they were being hard done by. It's not nice to move people out of their home by force but it's got to be done to expand the football club. If Cheltenham council turned around to me and said they were building a second runway at Staverton and my house was being demolished but they were going to pay me 1.5 times the value of my house, I wouldn't be happy but I can hardly say that it isn't reasonable compensation.

I appreciate this is a very emotive issue but 5 houses !!!! It's chickenfeed . I don't like forcing people out of their homes but if you GIVE them a new house of the sameish standard plus you give them the market rate for their house as a cash lump sum, surely nobody can say they are being hard done by and it costs the club less than £1m all in.

I think the mental aspect is we (as a nation) consistently think that we are better than we are and therefore expect better. Qualifying group containing dross every 2 years do nothing to dispel this myth. Currently we are a very average side with 2 or 3 players who would get into the Italian or German sides. 2004 was probably the best side we have had lately and that side was totally dependent on Rooney because of the manager trying to shoehorn Gerrard and Lampard into the same side. We probably could have won that tournament if Rooney had stayed fit.
